Top Five Xbox 360 Racing Games

I've already written hubs on the best fighting games for Xbox 360 and the best shooting games for Xbox 360, and as the only other genre of games that I feel like I know a bit about this hub on the best car racing and driving games will probably be my final hubpage in this little series. I've picked out what I think are 5 of the best games around at the moment, and I will try to keep this list up to date by coming back and editing it when new games are released. But if I do miss something which you think deserves a place inthe top 5 then please feel free to let everyone know using the comments box at the bottom of the page.

Project Gotham Racing 4 Project Gotham Racing 4
Price: $3.99
List Price: $19.99

Project Gotham 4

Project Gotham 4 has great AI for the cpu controlled drivers who are able to react well to what's happening and perform some great manouvers to catch you out. The character you play has some personality too, shaking your fists and so on to display emotions. There are 10 locations to race in including cities from around the world such as Shanghai and St. Petersburg, and a dynamic weather system to deal with. There are also some great new cars for this installment such as the 2004 TVR Sagaris and the 1965 Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray.

Midnight Club: Los Angeles Midnight Club: Los Angeles
Price: $19.91
List Price: $29.99

Midnight Club: Los Angeles

Based around the underground illgegal street racing scene in LA this game includes a detailed and true to life recreation of Los Angeles to race around. Midnight Club is unparelled in terms of the flexibility it has. You get a huge number of options for customizing the looks and performance of your ride, and rather than being based around fixed races / tournaments there is an extensive range of online community features and some great cpu characters to meet and race against, and to forge alliances with or go to war against.

Dirt Dirt
Price: $29.19
List Price: $19.99

Dirt

Personally I get much more out of a good rally game than from most street or tack racing games. I love all of the power slides and that feeling you get of being constantly on the verge of completely losing control of the vehicle. But it seems like they are harder to get right than other types, as good ones don't come around too often. Dirt includes 46 different vehicles, and has various off-road and rally disciplines for you to get your teeth into, such as Hill Climb, Rally RAID, Rally Cross and the CORR desert series. In my opinion this is the best rally racing game around at the moment.

Forza Motorsport 3 Forza Motorsport 3
Price: $39.49
List Price: $59.99

Forza Motorsport 3

Due to be released on October 27th 2009 Forza Motorsport is set to be the number 1 choice for anyone who is into real life motorsport. Featuring realistic racing across over 100 of the world's top real life racing tracks and with a choice of Circuit, Oval, Drag, Drift and Timed Events, it looks like this will be one that will keep your interest for a long time, offering real value for money. You can also choose between 400 fully customizable and tunable cars from over 50 of the world's leading manufacturers

Stuntman: Ignition Stuntman: Ignition
Price: $2.99
List Price: $19.99

Stuntman: Ignition

I decided that I should go for something a bit different with my last choice, so as to offer a decent range of different types of games. You enter the world of the Hollywood stuntman as you take control of one of 25 cars and try to pull of the most impressive stunts. Work your way through a progressive series of stunts to learn your craft and then you can challenge other drivers to a showdown with the online action. It's not a huge game and in comparison to the big racing games it doesn't take long to first master and then get bored of, but it's fun while it lasts and you can get it for a great bargain price from Amazon.
