The Best Ribs Ever! Not Spare Ribs: Chunky Spicy Short Ribs
63Preheat oven at 400 degrees to start. Grease large baking pan with oil on all sides.
You will need to season:
4 lbs Fresh Country Style Ribs-- AKA Short Ribs with:
Soul Seasoning or Cajun Seasoning, sprinkled liberally over all sides of meat, as you would salt to taste.
Italian seasoning, sprinkled liberally over all sides of meat, as you would pepper to taste.
Place ribs into baking pan.
Mix together the following ingredients in a large bowl:
4 Jalapeno peppers sliced into circles
1 1/2 Bottles (18 oz) of your favorite Smoky/Hickory BBQ sauce
1/4 cup honey
2 TBSP red pepper flakes
1 Medium yellow onions chopped coarsely
1/2 Medium bell peppers chopped coarsely
2 TBSP hot sauce
Then bathe all ribs on all sides with mixture. Pour any remaining mixture over ribs in baking pan.
2 TBSP of cold water should be poured over mixture in the pan.
Bake at 400 degrees for 45 minutes uncovered. Then carefully cover and turn temperature down to 325 degrees for another 2 hours 15 minutes. Then enjoy the best short ribs ever! They will be almost falling off the bone. Move over spare ribs!! These chunky lightly spicy short ribs reign supreme!!
