Top 5 Best PS3 Shooting Games

If your looking for a PlayStation 3 game to buy for someone as a gift this Christmas 2009 and you know they like shooting games then my list of what I think are the 5 best first person shooter games for the PS3 may give you a bit of inspiration. Or why not take a look to get a treat for yourself instead! I've written a short review of each one and added a couple of links to longer reviews as well if you want more information, and I've also included an amazon link for each one too. The 'list price' shown in the amazon link is the recommended retail price that you would pay at most shops, and the other price is how much you pay if you get it from amazon.

Call of Duty: World at War Call of Duty: World at War
Price: $49.99
List Price: $59.99

Call of Duty: World At War

The Call of Duty series of games are consistently amongst the best first person shooter games around and World at War is up there with the best too. Its quite a dark brooding kind of game that goes in for realism and really puts across the horrors of war. When you complete the campaign mode of the game you also unlock the 'zombie level' where you just basically have to kill as many zombies as you can, and these are great fun to play. Time Crisis 4 (Includes Guncon 3) Time Crisis 4 (Includes Guncon 3)
Price: $98.99
List Price: $59.99

Time Crisis 4 with Gun Controller

As the name suggests Time Crisis is a fast paced action game where you are constantly against the clock to complete your objectives, just like in the original Time Crisis arcade game. It comes with one of the best gun controllers you can get, with two joysticks that have been set up in good positions (which is not always the case with these things) so you can easily control your movement as well as shooting. In addition to the free roaming main game where you can explore the virtual world and take on the campaign missions there is also a wide range of mini games that are mostly pretty good.

WET WET
Price: $49.70
List Price: $59.99

Wet

Wet is a new release for Christmas 2009, and is an enjoyable combination of a first person shooter and sword fighting game. Basically you use the gun to shoot from a distance, including while performing acrobatic jumps, or get in close to kill your enemies with your sword. Iis has a retro 70's style and an involving storyline of lies and betrayal and is sure to be popular. For a full review of Wet for PS3 follow the link

Conflict: Denied Ops Conflict: Denied Ops
Price: $21.18
List Price: $19.99

Conflict: Denied Ops

This game plays like a Hollywood action movie, with plenty of fireballs and big explosions all of the time, which you can use to kill your enemies just as effectively as you can by actually shooting them as well. You control a team of soldiers and can switch between them whenever you like, or you can use either a split screen or your console's internet connection to play mutiplayer games and each take control of a team member. If you have an irresistable urge to just blow things up and destroy them then you will love this game.

James Bond 007: Quantum of Solace James Bond 007: Quantum of Solace
Price: $8.75
List Price: $29.99

James Bond: Quantum of Solace

Although it has its share of big, chaotic gun battles James Bond 007 Quantum of Solace really comes into its own with its tactical play. You can't just charge in with all guns blazing and win through fast reflexes and brute force. You have to have to scope things out and plan your attacks first, and then choose the right strategy utlizing covering fire, going sniper and taking out your enemies without ever being seen, or whatever it may be.
