Learning a second or a third language is getting more popular with the day. I have compiled a list of sites that offer language courses for FREE.
It is nice to see the growing trend of universities that are opening up some of their course content and ofcourse i have covered a few.

BBC Languages offers a wide range video and audio courses of over 30 different languages. It has a variety of course options. Best of all as all our suggestions its completely free

2) FSI Language Courses
Orignally created by the foreign services institute (us government), all the fsi courses are in the public domain hence free to distribute for anyone.
The courses are lengthy, maybe a bit boring for some. The courses come in mp3 format with accompanied pdf files.

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology offers a wide range of its courses online, including its language courses! I can recommend the literature material.

Learn chinese for free can be done at the Utah State University. Well just the basic chinese that is.
