Every year millions of people seek out ways to loose weight and feel great. Some of them choose methods that they see on TV, or are recommended to them by a friend. Most of these diets involve starving yourself, and exercising an extreme amount. While this might sound like a valid way to loose weight, the fact of the matter is that proper dieting does not involve starving yourself, nor does it involve exercising more than 5-6 days per week for several hours. So what is the best weight loss program? Allow me to explain how you can loose weight in a healthy manner, and keep it off for good.

The very first thing everyone who wants to loose weight must do is put their diet into check. By this I mean, one must try to eliminate carbohydrates, and eat less fat, while increasing the protein intake. Carbohydrates are the first nutrient that our body burns off when we begin any sort of exercise, once these are depleted we begin to burn fat. So in theory it is better to have less carbohydrates in your system before we begin to workout so that we may burn pure fat as opposed to carbohydrates. So what does this mean with regards to food intake? The best way to go about this is go cut out any form of bread, rice, and pasta. However if you cannot get by without eating these foods, be sure to eat only those that are 100% whole wheat. With regards to increased protein intake, your best bet is to eat more of things like baked fish, grilled chicken, and beans. Lastly, lowering your fat intake is as simple as eliminating things such as cheeseburgers and most red meats.

When it comes to exercising one should perform at the very least, 30 minutes of cardiovascular/muscle building activity three days per week. Start out by walking up an incline on the treadmill at a brisk pace which you can maintain for the full 30 minutes. Your best bet is to gradually increase both the speed and the incline to ensure you are building up your cardiovascular system as well as burning as many calories as possible. In terms of strength training be sure to incorporate some sort of compound movements with your workout. In terms of what weights to choose, the higher you go the better, however you must be doing at least three sets of 8-10 repetitions.

Once you have your diet and your exercising in full swing, it is time to pick up a weight loss supplement. So what is the best weight loss supplement? Well odds are that you want something that will help to speed up your metabolism and give you that extra boost of energy when you go to perform your workout. Things like green tea, and an increase of fiber in your diet will be fine for those who are especially overweight. At the end of the day, weight loss supplements are only supposed to be that extra boost to help you burn weight just a little bit faster than you would be able to with diet and exercise. Lastly, if you ever feel like you are not making as much progress as you should be, do not quit and give up. Rather, look at your caloric intake, and cut it by say 200 calories, or kick up your cardio to 40 minutes per day rather than 30. These are the simple changes that are easily implemented and will help burn more calories faster.
