How Writers Use Can Social Media Strategy To Earn Financial Freedom

Current economic trends have caused business to see alternative ways to effectively market their products and services. The art of social media strategy has become very popular among social networking websites such as Linkedin, Twitter, FaceBook and Blogs. The position as a Social Media Strategist requires the task of effectively and consistently managing an organization’s social media presence. This means that you, as the social media strategist would become the "face" for the client-the online face.

We as writers know the grueling and challenging process of finding good writing jobs that pay us what we're worth. There is so much competition and the payoff is not good at all. If you're freelancing, you have to work extra hard just to make ends meet. Sometimes you have to resort to accepting measly writing assignments like those on TextBroker where you actually ghostwrite articles and get paid a few dollars for someone else to take the credit(which is usually a writer that works for another writing website such as Demand Studios. If you're a writer like me, then you know the trials and tribulations we all go through,

When we write, we're actually selling ourselves. We market ourselves by displaying our best wriitng skills on our online portfolios while hoping to get that next big gig that will provide steady income. I have written for most online websites. I've seen it all. I feel the pain, literally! Sometimes I write until my neck burns and my shoulders cramp up. The truth is that writing is addicting and I love it but I need money too!

When I discovered that there was actually a way to use my writing skills to make good steady income, well, I just started break dancing. Yes! I started jumping and dancing and hopping around until my kids started to ask what was wrong with me. Then, when they realized I was really in a good mood, they started asking for stuff. "Mama, can we make some chocolate chip cookies even though its 10pm on a school night?" I said, "Sure, go ahead." The next day I would hear "Mama, can we go outside?" and I'd ask the usual question, "Is your room clean?" Of course they would hesitate which reveals to me that it wasn't but still, I'd say, "Sure, go ahead!" After a while, this got kind of old and I realized that I needed to snap back from euphoria before I started to look like Goldie Hawn in one of my favorite movies, OverBoard. It was a shame what those naughty little boys did to her but she got them back! Anyway, enough of my rambling and back to business.
