The Basics With New Tanks

How to set up a new fish tank?At first for me was a very pain in the but i did not know how to set up a tank,I added fish the first day,Thay died that same day algae all over the tank!!

Heres how i fix this problems: www.occlownfish.tk

1st-Research alot on wat tipe of fish your planning to add to your new tank

2nd-Look for sizes of wat tank your planning to buy,I start with a 10G with Filters.

3rd-for saltwater tanks you would want to mix together salt and water and nitrifying bacteria #9 together for altleast 2days make sure you use a small air pump this will help it mix it fast,I learn this the hard way lol.

4th-Next add you sand to your tank before you add make sure add it wet,This will help when you set up the filter it wont filter the sand it would be heavy sand.

5th-when the 2days have passt add the mix water to the tank slowly with carefull then turn on the filter and when everthing is up and running let the tank sit for ill say 1month,I know it might be a long ass time but you have to be very patient if you want to have a great fish tank!!I been there want to add fish the first day!!Thay die lol.

6th-Make sure you buy a hydrometer specific gravity to test the PH from your water you would want to have your meter to 1.024 ppt this is normal for new fish.

7th-When buying new fish start with demsels thay seem to be very hardy to die that way the new tank can know that theres hard fish!!

8th-then add some rocks to decorate the tank!!
