The Bible Can Interpret Itself
58If it can do that then why do we need preachers and clergy to tell us what they think it is telling us?
Why do those who think the answers are in then and that since the answer are within them from a clergy or outside source that it must be true for everyone and if it isn't then they thrust it down another's throat?
I wonder if the Bible Interprets itself does it come right out and tell you what you are supposed to hear---right out loud like it is a person?
There are things in that Bible in different versions and languages that do NOT match from Old to New Testament--so what kind of interpretation does the Bible have to say about that?
Does the Bible come right out and tell you to make everyone else feel guilty that they do not take the Bible's interpretation the way that YOU want them to?
If they get another interpretation of that Bible and it doesn't match your's or your clergy's then is their Bible's interpretation or voice a liar and why would that be so?
Does it come right out and tell you that you are going to Hell if you don't undertand the words it is physically speaking?

bla blah balh---accoring to the peoploe who read that Bible we are born sinners and are condemned to hell period. If one believes otherwise we go to hell too.
Can anyone tell just by looking at a person tht they are saved? No. Can anyone tell by the questions they are asking of others and not of themsleves and then be judged as they really don't have the answers tht they are saved? No.
So all the prejudging just leads to that same thing Jesus said in that Bible --Judge Not Lest Y Be Judged.
Everyone who thinks that God can fit into the box they made is wrong and they are te ones who say that no one can see or hear him unless they do like they do-wrong!! God is everywhere and in everythig and you can't keep him in some bnox for yourselves. That is VERY selfish.
Jesus said that the law is in the hearts and minds of men and not in a book. Read that in Your Bible/
The Bible also tells that all the works and words of Jesus is NOT in that Book. Read that in Your Bible.
Jesus said that we would do more miracles and wonderufl works then he has done. Read that in Your Bible.
Jesus did for all our sins of the past and the present and the future. Read That in You Bible.
Now go read this hub:
We are all born sinners, that is why Jesus said unless a man be born again he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
As for the hub, Yes the Bible interprets itself, and God also promised that He would teach HIs People. I agree we don't have to go through a mediator other than Jesus.
Does Born Again mean baptized or is it just assumed to mean that? In my other hub that I suggested to read it states tht Faith is alreday there for all humans and alot more and they are scriptures right from the Bible.
I was just wondering if you and I were eye to eye about something when it comes to people saying those things like the person said above in the first comment.
When I read things like that person posted about being saved. I believe that Jesus is right for them. Do you understand what I mean? If there is truth to Jesus, and they are the ones who cannot understand and they really believe that they do, then Jesus is their ticket.
Think about it. Only those who come in the name of Jesus and making advances that you must accept him, and then do all those things that we know are not good or even as Jesus requested, are the ones who really just don't know and may never ever understand. They really, really don't.
So when I hear these things, and I read these things and I understand why they do what they do in the name of Jesus, it makes me love them even more.
Not because I like what they do, I don't even agree half the time and you know, I know that a lot of what comes out of their mouths are just...well...you know. But to understand them like this and to understand the nature of Jesus like this is why I can be so accepting of them.
Not accepting as in I just tolerate them so they will leave me alone but I really love them. I mean, I really, really do. As Jesus said, "forgive them for they know not what they do." They really don't know and no amount of reasoning, I believe will make them understand better.
I think we tend to see what they do as blaphomy and ignorance or intolerance but to me the bigger truth is that we are as much here for them, as they are for us. Without them, I couldn't ever understand Jesus or the Bible or the world the way that I do. Likewise, they need us to understand things too.
As much as I hate to say it, the Bible seems true it is just unfortunate that because of it (whether it was ever real or not) we very well may have to see the end before it ever becomes better. Not because God will shake his hand and destroy us but because we are all players in the book all set against each other and it will take a miracle, one I pray for all the time, to break the curse. :(
And so the story goes, give them what they need, I was called to give them love. And so while I cannot do magic tricks, I cannot heal the sick, I cannot do anything really but that one very powerful gift that I do have is the capacity to love.
To me, this is the heart of Jesus in a nutshell. I love you LG, I am sorry you get the hard role and I am sorry that there are some people out there that stalk you and hate you and make you feel bad. But your God's girl! And I love you for who you are, what you wish to accomplish, for the motives in your heart and for your patients, your willingness to understand, your tolerance, and above all, your love for people.

Sandra, I do understand what you are saying., When I question it is for them to seek the answers and not I all the time. Planting seeds if you will. Something may nspark in them that wouldn't if they hadn't been asked. Sometimes it is just asking a question that will spark something and sometimes we don't even know that there is a question or even the right question.
I too was there with them. I was saved and baptiszed when I was 16 in my hometown Baptist Church. I went to church almost all my life and yes I would have never known about the Bible if I hadn't gone to church. My parent's never made us go to church and throughout my life and struggles I went to that Bible many times seeking answers. I found mine, but it was a difficult process, but through my most difficult hour Jesus came into my heart and he showed me love that campares to nothing here on Earth. I thought that I knew what Unconditional love was by going to church and doing as they do and being a "good Girl", only that isn't it at all.
When I met Jesus and I have several times now, he never asked or assumed that I was born again, what religion I was or even if I had been baptized or even believed in God or him. He was just there for me and it wasa NOT Satan like some believe. Satan can't possibly have that much UNCONDITIONAL love. Jesus tells us of the devil and tells us to fear him in the Bible, but he also says what his love is and what wonders it can do and how he overcame Satan and evil. That is the message I am to spread, but like I said Jesus at first didn't tell of that love until he shook the people's faith and religious laws and church doctrines up first. I guess that is what I am to do too. I am just the messanger. Please don't shoot the messanger!
lol LG, I didn't mean anything bad, I love what you do and I wouldn't stand in your way in what you do. Not at all. It was not what I meant at all and I understand what you are saying. you know what I am sending you a pm.
love you! 3
Lady G,
To be born again means to be baptized with the Holy Spirit. Water baptism cannot do this for you.
As for faith being there for everyone...I believe you're speaking of Romans 12:3 where it says 'according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.'
I believe the writer was talking to believers only, because earlier in the verse it says 'To every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealth to every man the measure of faith"
It makes sense that he was only talking to believers and not everyone that exists, especially when we compare the verse to romans 10:17 where it says "faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."
That is how I understand it.
Thanks

Only thing I can tell you is when your born again, that means to be reborn by the Spirit of God, and the only way that can be obtained is to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Acknowldging you are a sinner and need Him for redemption, meaning He keeps you from going to hell when you die. Why? Cause He died for your sins. It is a personal thing and many do not know Him on a personal basis. Without the Spirit of God it is impossible to understand. First, if you are not saved I suggest you 1. Accept that you are not perfect and sin. 2. Believe that God sent His own Son to you in the flesh and believe He died for you and was raised again for you. Then you can ask God specifically to help you understand the scriptures becaus the preaching of the cross is foolishness to them who are perishing. ( 1 corinthians 1 :18) so unless you are chosen by God to receive this free gift you cannot understand, because Jesus also said, in seeing they did not see and in hearing they did not hear, so that they could turn to Me and I heal them. ( Matthew 13:13-17) Pray, if you do not believe in the Bible, that God opens your eyes if you do not know His Son.
Vladimir U. said: Sciantel, you are on the target. Thanks.
To: LG. G'd is not going to condemn us just because we do not understand all.
Bible give us ministers which is one of office ministries to help us. It is up to us to find right place to be.
Sandra, After I logged off to go to bed I thought to myself if I got what you were saying. Sorry sleepiness does that to me.
Embracingtheturth. I know what it means, but wondered if anyone one else did that tends to discriminate against anyone that thye think is not saved. Liek isaid in the other message--how would you know by just talking or looking at another person if they had been saved or not...
Vladmir, I am a Minister. This is the right place to be. I have Jesus in my heart, if you read the above comment that I made to Sandra the first time.
Word of God was given for perfection of saints. We are not perfect, but Jesus is. We were children of Adam before.
Because you are a minister it does not mean you should tear down everything you do not like and hate. This is typical for New Age movement (religion).
Jesus never told us to come to our heart. It is not in the Bible. Or do you interpret that way? Are you not guilty of interpretation your way?
I do not hate anything and I am not tearing down something that was already being done many years before I came on the planet.
Jesus did not tell anyone to fight wars for God nor did he tell anyone to convert anyone to anything. He simply wanted to send his disciples out to tell of his word and miracles and that we would do more than he ever did.
Each one of us is able to interpret the words for ourselves without anyone else's interferring. That is why Jesus said that the laws are in the minds and hearts of everyone.
You can do or say anything you want to me because I know that Jesus is within me and will always be no matter what other men may say or think. Jesus didn't like how the Preists were treating the churches in that day either and nothing has really changed in that respect. You nor anyone else has the right to tell others what or who to believe and that is in the Bible too.
You still do not know who or what I am about all you want to do it use me as a challenge--you said that yourself. You do not seek to understand only to conquer. There is no Love of Jesus in that--only in man.
When Jesus came on the scene as an adult he went against the church and he riled them and then he told them of his love. People don't change unless there is a reason too or they are forced too.
Take a look at my other hubs and just maybe you will get a smal inkling of what I am about and where I am coming from.
Jesus is about Love Unconditionally, not conversion or my way is the only way theology. He never said that! He said that he was the only way--but not a church or eletist sect of people for he also went to the Gentiles, the Hindus and the Egyptians.
When you challenge something or someone what happens in the relationship? When you show compassion and understanding what happens in that one?
I love you.
I love you also.
A bit short, but well thought out.
Personally, while I believe Jeshua bin Josef existed and all, I'm not entirely convinced he was the "Son of God." I mean, aren't we all reflections of it?
Keep in mind, however, I do have a personal relationship with many past people of faith. I think he was a wonderful soul who was looking out for us.
But from my point of view, its entirely more possible that he was an alien. ;P
Not to defame. God lives in all of us, and you're right. The Bible can speak to anyone who listens.
I just prefer to do the talking, and guide others to love. ;)
Sincerely,
G|M
GJM. Love is all ther is. The people that I pointed this message too are the ones that say it speaks for itself and they will not go research any other book or movie or documentary to seek the truth. Int eh Bible someone pointed out, that Jesus was not the prophet that the Old Testament was talking about. That being said, it surmizes, in my own heart, that Jesus or anyone could be a prophet. They were tired of waiting for said prophet to come. Names do not match up but you can be sure the dates may because of those who fooled around with the wordng and what went in and was left out and then taken out and rearranged all through history. Josephus said that a man like Jesus lived, but that doesn't prove anything that he was the prophet that was prophesied about in the OT. I believe Jesus came to teach us that we can do anything we set our minds too. It must have taken years to get the books to say what Rome wanted them to say and make sure they all came out in both the New and Old Testaments. Onbly if you read the book in a room by yourself you will see the desrepancies and there are lots of them. When you try to get the original version then you also see lots of mis translations. Because I seek for answers from within and from other sources, I am called names, BUT that is exactly what the Jesus of the Bible said to do. So I am a follower of Jesus and not the church. People can't seem to relate to that because they only see the control factor of the whole thing. Jesus also tells us in that book that the word of God will come from NO MAN. Go figure! They just want to control others (pocketbooks and lives) and that is their only function as far as I am concerned.
That makes total sense. =)
Hello again.
Why we should seek for the truth when we have the Truth? Jesus is the truth!
Jesus is WORD in flesh. He said: John 8:31-32 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
...and the word, which is flesh and everything else did set me free, The bible does interpret itself and no one needs to be told what it says because it interprets itself to the individual who reads it. Jesus didn't say anything about going to church. He also did not say that any man should tell another what they should think of the Bible. The bible wasn't written when he was around.
We are WORD in Flesh--all of us!
Devil is twister and confuser. I can look to you eyes and tell you I love you but you are wrong. I am praying for you. Bible is only authority in the universe. If Bible is not enough then somebody has wrong Jesus as well. Bible interpret itself and I am not listening any other preacher how I have to think or what to believe. Preacher is not my guide as you all the time accusing. Word - The Bible is my guide.
I'm glad you posed these questions. It has long been my belief that the Bible was meant to be interpreted individually, NOT through someone else's interpretation. I have attended several different churches (Christian, Baptist, Catholic, Pentacostal (crazies!!!) and Presbytarian). Each preacher, priest or minister spews forth there own ideas and passes them off as the ideas of God. Then the blind followers, who can't seem to read the words for themselves, run off and pass around those ideas as though they are fact! (Talk about false prophets) This is total crap.
A part of my family is extremely religious. They live in the Bible Belt and attend a Baptist church three or more times per week. They tell me that I am going to burn in Hell because I do not go to church (the Baptist sure love to condemn everyone to Hell). They tell me that I need to seek out Jesus. I have explained to them that I do not need to go church because my faith in God is strong, only those who are unsure as to whether or not there is a God need to constantly be reassured that God exists. I do not need reassurance, I just believe. As far as seeking out Jesus. . .didn't know I needed to, I mean isn't He already with all of us whether we believe in Him or not?
Anyhow nice to see someone else who sees the Bible was meant for each human to take from it the meaning that they need to walk with God or live a good life. It wasn't meant for chuches to profit off of it and profit they do. It wasn't meant for the churches to control minds and control minds they do. That's probably why Revelations mentions the fall of the churches when the end comes.
Keep on writing I look forward to reading your other hubs.
Max Sumer, Yes. All the beliefs that I hold are written in all my hubs, expecially the religious ones. The thing that most people do not understand is that the Bible has been changed since the beginning of putting it all together. Pls the fact that only about 4 letters are in that book that they really listen too. Now if Jesus was truly a well known person you would think that there woud be a heck of a lot more things written about him and from him then just 4.
Another thought that came to mind the other day---- Jesu's earthly father was a very well to do man and owned his own company building ships that went all over the world at that time. Couldn't Jesus have meant that the only way to get to his father was through him, meaning that literally as in his father was so busy that he had to have appointments made to see people. Jesus would have been the person that made those appointments. Jesus was rich in a rich family. People can't think for themselves and aren't allowed too. There are many examples of this throughout hubpages--just look in the religious forums of which I don't go into them anymore.
I have found that the bible tells me different things at different times, I can read the same verse at different times (maybe years apart, maybe days) and God will lay out a whole different meaning to me. I understand where you are coming from, I spent seven years 'outside the gate' and although I attend a local 'synagogue'it is more for social reasons than to meet with Christ, because I live with Christ, so I don't need to go somewhere to find Him!
Thanks for fanning me, let me know what you think about the hubs, I'm open to correction and believe in full transparency!
Stay Blessed,
John
Aguasilver, I do thank you for stopping by and leaving yur comments. Yes, each time I read scripture, I too get a different meaning as it is supposed to be. words camn have different meanins depending on what is going on in the surroundings they are read or spoken in. One man's definition is not always the way that every Man's is for not every man has the same lessons and situations to learn and go through.
I joined your fan club becasue you are in the forums in which I used to be a big part of. I am kind of twice shy of them right now so I am not in them at the momnet but will join fan clubs of those who are. Snadra Rink is a very good friend of mine and KNOWS what kind of hellish things that I have been through.
I do NOT believe in the Devil/Satan or blaming our problems that we did ourselves on some external fignment of someone else's imagination.
