Was it over hyped?

Last few days a lot had been heard about the $6 billion experiment - the firing up of The Large Hydron Collider - the particle accelerator built by CERN in Geneva, Switzerland.

Will this be the last Wednesday? Is the earth going to be swallowed and what all...a lot of comments, posts, reactions!

I think it is time to congratulate all the scientists involved that everything went on as planned and nothing went wrong otherwise I wouldn't have written this & you wouldn't have been reading this...

Did you had a look at these...

What have we gained from this?

Now as all is over in this first stage of the experiment can anyone explain how it has affected the common man who is still struggling to make his ends meet. Such a huge amount of money has been spent on this experiment, and still more will be spent as some more tests and experiments have to be carried out, what do you think - Is it just waste of money trying to find some links to some evolution theory that is either not going to directly increase your income or going to feed the poor in different parts of the world.

I did not say that this should not have been done. After all if so many scientist were involved they would be having the right reason for conducting this experiment that would be beneficial to the whole mankind of the universe in the coming future.

Let us keep our fingers crossed and see what is in store for the people around the world and hope that all these technological advances will benefit the entire mankind.
