I Re-Discover The Show

After waking that first morning in Flagstaff, AZ I decided to go for some coffee and discover the local radio stations on my car radio. I scanned through the requisite mix of classic rock, country, contemporary and news/ talk and thought, “Well, there’s always my cd s.” Then I landed on 96.7 “The Wolf” and heard some familiar voices from the past: Bob, Tom, Kristy, and Chiiiiiiiiiiick. I never expected to find my old friends here in the quaint city of Flagstaff. Although the show is syndicated across the country, I had never found an affiliate in Arizona, not even in the larger markets of Tucson or Phoenix.

I have been a fan of the Bob and Tom Show since it’s inception as a local Indianapolis morning radio program in 1983. The comedy is first rate with nationally known comedians making guest appearances daily. Although not a “shock jock” program, the bits tend to skew toward the adult end of the spectrum. Some of the banter between the hosts is funny only if you are familiar with the show, so you may want to check out the website: www.bobandtom.com before tuning in. There is also a television version of the show on WGN.

Song About Her Pussy

The Assylum Street Spankers have been regular guests over the years.

Maybe the Greatest Love Song Ever

One of the most controversial, (and pilfered) songs from the archives.

I loved Bob and Tom. They left "the air" here in Pittsburgh about 4 years ago, glad to hear they are still around, not so glad that I'm going to have to move to Flagstaff...

Flagstaff has everything Pittsburgh has, except the Steelers.
