The 5th of November is an occasion when people in UK set off fire works at home or in special displays. They call it a "Bonfire Night".

The origin of this celebration was an event in 1605, when a group of Catholics led by Guy Fawkes failed in the plan to kill the Protestant King with a bomb in the House of Parliament.

The celebration starts of with a Torch Parade, then followed by the main event which is the Bonfire held in an open field, and ends with Fireworks Display.

Below are samples of the videos I took last November 5, 2008 in Lewes, East Sussex.

A glimpse of the main event, the Bonfire.....

Lastly, the video below shows "The Bonfire Night's Fireworks Display"

The 5th of November is also my Birthday.  Celebrating it with a finale of spectacular fireworks display was absolutely fantastic!!!

Hope you enjoyed the show. (Hep! Hep! - Hurray!!!) :-)
