The Little Bridge
55When my son Rusty, was about five years old. He had a little girlfriend that lived next door to us. They used to play together all the time. They were so cute.
One day Rusty decided he was going to build a bridge between the two houses. There was a small drainage ditch between us. You could just step over it, but he wanted a bridge. He found some wood that Bobby had already used, so he had his foundation.
Then he found some other pieces of wood and after a while he had his bridge built. He was so proud. He came running in the house and said, mama you got to come see my bridge! I finished it! I went outside with him to see his newly built bridge. It was so cute and he put his whole heart into building it.
He had built hand rails on it, and on one of the hand rails he hung a mirror that he found from an old car. He had a vision of what he wanted it to look like but being five years old, he didn't quite know how to accomplish it. I asked him why did he put the mirror on it. He told me it was so that when either one of them was coming over they could look in the mirror to see if their face was dirty.
I wish I had taken a picture of it. I would put it on here, but I never did. I'll never forget that little bridge though.
Some time later I was looking at the bridge and the Lord started to talk to me. He told me to look at the foundation. He said my faith was solid like that foundation, but like the hand rails on the way up, my faith was shaky.. He said that if Rusty had just asked his Dad to help him, he could have made it sturdy and solid
I had prayed for the faith of Abraham and he was giving me opportunities to increase my faith and make it solid like the foundation of that little bridge.

Aww what a great message, thank you. Wonderful.
Thank you. When I think everything around me is falling apart.I think about this little bridge and what God told. He's giving me opportunities for my faith to increase. I just have to trust him. Then I can smile and know everything's going to be alright.
