The broken link error message on your Hubpage webpage can stop you from making money.  You need to keep this error message from maliciously causes the Google bot of the Google Adsense from not being able to distribute your Hubpages for advertising dollars.

You can quickly see that you have a broken link error message because a huge black triangle with a white exclamation mark in the center will warn that you Hubpage article is not being distributed correctly through  Google Adsense.  The cause is almost entirely coincidental and the only thing you can do is to delete the affected capsule.  Most of the time the video is part of a broken link error.

If a video is a part of the broken link error, you want to delete the capsule so you can continue to optimize the article with Google Search.  On a regular basis, you should check your account in the upper menus of the my account module for broken links.  You have to click on the tag broken links to get the articles that need fixing.

If a word in the text is highlighted in yellow, that means that the word is part of a broken link.  You need to delete the word and check with the Google Keyword Search for a comparable word if the word is needed to clarify the meaning you are trying to convey on the Hubpage.  From the my account page and clicking on the broken link tab, you will be automatically allowed accessibility to the edit page.  If you click on the edit button on the home page of Hubpages where you see the black triangle with the white exclamation mark enclosed, then you have to go to the edit page to make the corrections.

If you are consistently producing Hubpages and do not see a change in your earnings, you need to check to make sure that technicalities are not blocking your earnings.  Having a broken link on your Hubpage is like not having written the article because the Google bot can not make its distribution.  A broken link can stop your Hubpage earnings so you have to check and make sure that there are no broken links on the Hubpage on a daily basis.

If there is a problem with the video, the message wiil indicate that the URL can not be read and the information will be highlighted in pink.  Delete the entire video and look for a replacement.  Do not try to figure out what went wrong with the video and see if there is anything wrong with your video card for example on your computer.  The internet is a conglomerate of tubes and bots traveling with and disseminating information.  Random errors occur that can not be explained but that can and should be corrected if your want to increase your hubpage earnings.

When writing you hubpage article, follow the guidelines of writing a hubpage.  Use at least 800 to 1500 words so if you have to delete a word that is part of a broken link, you will not lose the meaning of your article.  Use three photos and five videos to keep your audience attention and to alleviate so much text that the readers only scans and then abandons your article.  You make your hubpage money when one of the readers click on an ad that is embedded in your hubpage article.  Your job is to write relevant articles about everyday living and keep their attention throughout the writing.  The five videos will keep the reader interested.  If you find out that a video is a part of a broken link with the warning in pink about the video URL. you can delete it.  You will still have a hub page with an amount of videos to keep the reader's interest.

Just as maintaining a car daily is optimal to keeping it running in tip top condition, you need to make sure that all of your Hubpage articles are working everyday to inform, persuade, sell or educate.  The Hubpage article can not do its work if you do not make maintenance a daily part of your visit to Hubpages.  Delete and replace or adjust broken links promptly so that you can continue to make money on Hubpages.
