Wouldn't it be great to generate residual income? Of course it would! We'd all like to make enough of it so that we don't have to work. You would be able to do what you really want to do, that way, you wouldn't have to call it work.

There are many ways to generate residual income, but for many of them, you'll need a lot of money. Just like in poker, the ones with the biggest stacks have the most control. But don't worry, I'll let you know some of the cheapest ways to build residual income.

Now, just keep in mind the saying, "The greater the risk, the greater the rewards." What residual income opportunities that I'll be showing you doesn't require lots of money at all, in fact, if you have time, you don't have to spend a dime. But because the risk is so low, the rewards may not be as big as some of the more expensive residual income opportunities.

The cheapest way to build residual income is to start a blog. You can easily sign up for a free account on wordpress.com or blogger.com.

Once you sign up for an account, all you do is pick a topic that you really like, and start writing about it. The goal here is to attract a lot of people to your website. Once you have a lot of people coming to your website, you can make money in all kinds of ways like recommending products or even selling your own products such as an ebook.

Of course, simply putting up a blog and writing won't automatically drive a lot of people to your site. You will have to learn how to get the word out about your blog. This can be achieved by optimizing your site so that when people search for certain terms on the search engines, they will find you. You can also find other bloggers who write about similar things and do link exchanges with them.

Obviously, there will be some learning involved, but that's the same with all the other streams of residual income. If you had money, you could actually just hire someone to do all the background work for you. But with a little bit of knowledge, you can start to build residual income within a few months. How much you make will depend on what kind of topic your blog is about and how many people find your site.

The cool part is that once you get a lot of visitors from all around the world and setup all the monetization strategies on your site, you'll be able to make money even while you sleep! It's such as awesome feeling to wake up in the morning and realize you made money while dreaming about being Superman or Wonder Woman. Okay, maybe that's just me.

Many times, the biggest complaint people have for not doing anything to generate residual income is lack of money. With a blog, no money required. The other complaint is not knowing what to do. If you have internet access, then that's not a valid excuse because you can learn everything you need for free. It will just take some time.

I urge you to take a little bit of time out each day to do something that will bring you closer to the ultimate goal of building residual income, enough to replace your job. Life will be a lot more fun after that. You will be able to do what most people will never be able to do, retire wealthy. If you're just starting out, it may be overwhelming so just take it one step at a time.
