The Chi Flat iron is the goddess of all flat irons!-Okay A Farouk Chi 1 inch ceramic flat hairstyling iron, to be precise. Ladies this works like a charm! My African American hair was curly/ frizzy untamed. I had to spend at least an hour blow drying it straight before I left the house. It just required so much of maintenance to look good. Having to sleep in a stocking over my head or rollers in my hair is just so darn annoying. So used to spend a small fortune on going to the salon every week to get my hair blow dried straight-then my stylist recommended that I relax my hair with chemical hair straighter.

I must admit I tried it and it worked but after a while my hair just felt so oily and sticky and just gross. Not to mention that my scalp got drier and began peeling. So now my latest discovery is the Farouk range of chi flat iron hair strengtheners. It’s really easy to use and no more chemicals on my head. It’s just so simple to use the chi flat iron. I did not see a lot in reference about using the chi on African-American hair, but the few reviews that I read were favourable. After trying it for myself I'm impressed. I have not had any problems so far. It did not take me long to flat-iron my hair and it is bone straight. One thing that I really like about the CHI iron compared to the one that was used in the mall (not sure of the brand) is that I had NO FRIZZ.I love this flat iron!
  

• Chi flat irons keeps my hair straight all day and feels really great. I don't even need to use any anti frizz serum or anything like that. It is a bit pricey but worth every penny.

• After spending weeks trying to decide if I wanted to go "chemical free"; I spent several weeks researching which ceramic flat iron to purchase. There are so many available on the market. They may be cheaper than the Chi flat iron, but the results are not the same. One of my girlfriends was just going on about how she got this really good deal on similar brand but to be honest I couldn't tell the difference if she had used a flat iron to straighten her hair.
