A father buys his son a dog but imagine that, the puppy wouldn't pass a ball with his muzzle to the six-year old. It is important that you use for instance the same tone and pitch of voice when saying to the dog the command, and if you combine the resolute speech with an arm or hand gesture-a strong "go" with the arm raised pointing the direction, whatever you choose- the command should be learned very fast, after two or three times, if the dog is also given rewards and the owner acknowledges it when the correct behavior has been adopted.

Of course, you are recommended to have confidence in professional trainers and leave to them the job of successful dog training, but in the case of some special breeds, depending on what you expect from the dog, you are an essential part of the training too, and you must continue the process yourself, mostly because of your voice. It is only natural that an animal's instincts respond differently to the voice of his master and to the voice of a stranger. Moreover if you shout at your dog not to chew the couch, he will understand it's a bad behavior, solely combined with your presence. If you don't have, on the other hand, the help of an expert to tell you what to do, the dog will keep doing just that when left alone.
