The Constitution and the People
76I deeply love America. It's my Native land. I want to make things better for all the people.
Enough is enough!
The Constitution of the United States is written by and for the people. The entity of government was established for the sole purpose of providing for the health and general welfare of all the people. It seems that those, who are responsible for upholding the constitution have completely turned their backs on the common people, in favor of the wealthy, prosperous and powerful, who because of their wealth are able to purchase favors that excel them above the rest of us.
Isn't it interesting, that our Congressmen and Senators can approve giving hundreds of billions of dollars to wealthy corporations and to the wealthiest of individuals, in order, to sustain their status of wealth and to protect them from any significant losses, all of which are paid for by “we the people.” However, when it comes to doing anything to help the middle class and poor, it suddenly becomes far too expensive. Do you see anything wrong or unequal with this scenario?
Do you begin to think conspiracy or bribery or both? Undue influence combined with money or favors makes a case for bribery, which is a felony in my opinion. Obviously, when more than 70% of the American People have indicated a preference for a Health Care System, that is comparable or similar to that of France, Germany or Canada, but are ignored, then the question of bribery rises to the surface. The term “Lobbyist” has a different meaning today, than it had years and years ago. It has become in my mind, equal to out and out bribery, which should be classified as a felony, in most cases.
Let me be clear, the U.S. Senators, Congressmen, the President and all government employees are our servants and NOT our masters! We are the People of the United States of America and are waking up from sleep and the realization that what was intended for our good has become oppressive and offensive. We have become like cattle or sheep to these unconstitutional wizards. They feed off of us like parasites.
Our jobs have been shipped to other countries, where labor is dirt cheap and the standard of living, in these places are at best, very shameful. The poor unfortunates are none the better, because they are also being abused by these greedy, soulless parasites. The very wealthy have been given multi-billions of dollars in special tax breaks, based on the fraudulent assumption, that it would trickle down to the middle class and the poor masses. It hasn't and never will.
What could be more apparent, obvious, than a building located in the Cayman Islands, where these low lives hide their wealth, in order, to avoid paying their fair share of taxes, for the privilege of citizenship that they enjoy and take for granted. I mean, when can you call a spade a spade? If it looks like duck, walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, then a good guess is that its a duck! Why are the richest corporations and people, who are so rich that they could not spend their wealth in 2 or more life times, exempt from the everyday struggles and hardships that fall on us, the common people?
What I see as a major problem with the above scenario, is that the Constitution of the United States does NOT separate corporations and wealthy people from the common people and the poor. The constitution simply refers to “WE THE PEOPLE.” And it looks to me, as the perfect example of the “tail wagging the dog” and we must take steps to correct these inequities, if we are to become and remain a great people, and a force for democracy and hope for all nations of the world.
In the interest of truth and fairness, I must say that not all of our senators and congressmen are dishonest and unprincipled, but obviously too many are, as the outcomes of their legislation, in most cases, tend to favor and protect the interest of the wealthy and not the best interests of the common people.
However, as concerning our President, Mr. Obama, I believe that he could and would do what is right for the American People, but the wizards of evil have determined to do whatever it takes to cause him to fail, as President. If they worked only half as much to help him succeed, then I believe that we could achieve the changes, improvements, necessary to make our country the greatest on earth.

To Amillar: You have a wonderful mind. I appreciate your thoughts and comments.
Thank you very much!
Eaglefeather, I imagine that the emancipation of slavery met with a similar response to the healthcare bill in certain quarters. The rich will always fight to maintain the status quo, and they won't always use fair means to do so. Some of the comments I've seen posted on the various hubs have astounded me. I only hope that Obama gets this bill passed. There are a lot of people on this side of the Atlantic rooting for him, but it's the ones on your side that count.
To: Amanda Severn: Dear Amanda I quite agree with you. I deeply appreciate your very informed comments. Pray for America, as we are being oppressed by the rich and powerful, by their minions, and the non-thinking poor, who act and vote against their own interests. It's very frustrating, but I am hoping for a better result with President Obama at the helm.
God bless you!
The Constitution was written by Thomas Jefferson not the people! Nowhere in the document does it grant a right for health care, or a drivers license! Just because you want something for free does not mean I want to give you something for free! How much are you paid to write these Hubs, you are shilling for the Obamaman!
To A Texan: Sir,
It is NOT about who wrote the U.S. Constitution, but it is rather, what the Constitution says.
Do you not get that?
But you said and I quote "The Constitution of the United States is written by and for the people."
You seem to be under the impression that it can be changed to suit your nefarious socialistic ways, I am here to stop people like you from destroying my Country with your insipid whining!
To A Texan: Sir,
My point is that the government exists for the sole purpose of serving the best interests of the American People.
When a Senator or Congressman says that we cannot trust the government, then he or she is effectively saying that he does not trust us, the people. We are the government!
It is wrong, constitutionally, for our Representatives, Senators, the President or any other employee of the people to do anything, that is NOT in the best interest of "We the People of the United States."
The constitution was written, so as to ensure a better life and future for all of the people of this country.
Simply put, Sir, We the people can have any form of government that we choose.
Read the preamble of the constitution, as it is the foundation and the stated purpose of the founder of our great nation.
I want to ask you for a second time in 2 hubs, where did you get this 70% of Americans want nationalized healthcare figure? Its absolute crap. Every poll I have ever seen showed it starting around 55% and that number has been dropping ever since.
"Simply put, Sir, We the people can have any form of government that we choose"
We can not have any form of government we want. We have a Republic. That means that we are to follow the rule of law, not the rule of the majority, or the rule of a small group of elitists. There is no place for a socialistic economy in this country. There is no room for the federal government to tell We The People what we can do. There is only the law of the land. That law is The Constitution. It is the law which was created to bind the government and limit their authority over our lives, so that We The People could be free to make for our own prosperity, so that we could pursue our own happiness, not be given it by the rich guy down the street because we refused to work as hard as he did, and therefore, he should have to give us some of his wealth to help us compensate for our laziness. That sir, is socialism, that sir, is what the healthcare bill instills.
To wagnerzx2:
I have already answered this question, but here it is:
To wagnerzx2:
Response:
Sir, you like many others, have been mis-educated and lead by the nose, away from the truth, into a delusional world, that has brought us, full circle, back to the times of the ruling elite and to those thought of as royals. The special people that are above the rest of us.
This is exactly what the founding father were trying to prevent, and so, the constitution was written to give to the people rights, that in the past, had never existed. They wanted something very different.
They wanted a new government, a government of the people, by the people and for the people.
Just ask yourself, why would the founding fathers revolt against such a system, only to reintroduce it under another name?
Why are you not understanding this?
If you do not understand that I am giving you the actual truth, then stop asking me. Ask someone else. I am finished answering foolish questions!
Good hub Eaglefeathers.
To Things Considered:
Thank you sir.
I will not allow Republican talking points. However, if I am asked an intelligent question regarding my Article, I will respond. I have no time for racist, ignorant, talking points, written by the devil.
We all know the tricks of the devil, and we are not fooled by his supintine manner.
I am against all of the works of the devil, and hate is one of his favorite tools. I have eyes that see! Thank God.
Eagle feather, seeing your post above, I have to say. This is comming from a US Citizen, who splits his vote, not a mouthpiece for any party. I am not evil and I have questions about this article?
If I may Sir;
Here are Your words: "The constitution simply refers to “WE THE PEOPLE.” And it looks to me, as the perfect example of the “tail wagging the dog” and we must take steps to correct these inequities, if we are to become and remain a great people, and a force for democracy and hope for all nations of the world."
Trying to understand this, I am asking.
Are you proposing a Constitutional change- ie a Constitutional admendment to re-distribute wealth, so that we can be stronger as people by being economicaly equal?
I submit to you sir that even total equality fails, because we are all darwin like. Women and Men with original sin, and by nature we move towards contest and victors of spoils, the survival of the Strongest; Our given hunter-gatherer nature
So given time, even such a beautiful idea as this is, is destin to change due to Natural Human evolutional behavior, In short, we would mess it up!
The quest to have the most and be the strongest will never go away. We know inside what is right and wrong, but we make a contest out of everything!
and I do believe this nature of ours' as humans and our propensity for this kind of behavior, would eventualy shift the balance back to upper and lower classes in time, the have's and have-nots; and once again, nothing would have been gained.
Except for the spent Monies rotating back through the economy, to the Gov. in taxes, fees and pay outs for personal gains. The Gov. till filling up even higher, once again.
It is a beutiful Idea, it really is and Equality is so needed, but given the History of the US and living some 58 years, this seams a bit Idealistic to me.

TO dutchman1951:
The first mistake, in your comment, is that you are not specific and you quote issues out of context.
I reccommend, suggest that you focus your questions and comments on facts and reason and not on Republican nonsense. I believe that most people understand my words.
In short, be more specific and limit your questions to one at a time.
TO dutchman1951:
I believe that there is hope for you as long as you believe that we are stronger and better as a nation and civilized people, remembering aways to take good care of our citizens..good care!
And as I understand the constitution, we have every right to enjoy life and prosperity. This was directed at all americans from the time of its ratification.
Try building a house without following the foundation plan. How would you expect that house to have stability or quality?
I think you are approaching the truth and understanding. There are issue where we might agree.
Eaglefeather, I believe that which you state, to be foremost, a duty for all citizens, to protect all citizens equaly with "GOOD" care. We can not survive as a nation if we do not do this.
I also believe all talking points from either party to be Political Spin, designed to upset, upheave, and block logical thought, by pushing human emotion above clear thought processes.
I want everyone in this country to have the same Medical Coverages as any Congressman or Senator, no questions asked.
What I rail against is the feeling of covert-ness this seems to be being done with. I can not help but ask, what is hidden?
That said let me think of how to ask the questions, and I will return to write them ocassionaly, and we do have strong foundation for agreement, most deffinetly. I believe we do want the same. Just not sure about how! lol
That said I am enjoying the HUB toppics, keep writing.

To dutchman1951:
I believe that the Republicans are constant and continual liars. However, while the Democrates are not perfect, I do not believe that the Democrates lie nearly, as much as, the Republican right wing. The "blue dogs" are NOT true Democrates, but more like Republicans. I actually cansider them Republicans!
I enjoyed your blog and the comments. I support most of your ideas.
My observation is, you call republicans names and they call democrats names. It doesn't make anyone better than the other and it takes away the focuse of the true concerns. It does not help any of us get what we want and keep our nation strong.
Let's all start by how we treat each other and start talking about our common interests. Put the devil aside (in all of us).
To Lisa says:
Have you been living in a cave? Do you not know what the Republicans are doing to this country? I am a conscious Citizen and I am angry at their acts of evil against our President.
Therefore I believe your analysis is faulty, because you did not consider the aspect of Justice.
We are not to be as dumb animals, when injustice is being done to any member of our world, it is being done to all of us.
I don't find your remarks objective or reasonable. Your comment is the comment of a blind and deaf person. It is not about calling names. It should have been very obvious to you, but then that's you.
Well you certainly seemed to have stirred up a hornets' nest. Good for you.
I am appalled to see Americans squabbling over trifles such as the exact meaning of a term, or who really did write the constituition, and, according to the lunatic fringe, is our leader a secret marxist.
Anyone with commen sense and a decent grasp of history knows, it really doesn't matter what label is put on any form of government, it always seems to dwindle down to the same old thing -- the empowered elite control all and the rest of society serves it.
The real problem, the one that no one seems to deal with, is this: before you can distribute or redistribute wealth, first it must be manufactured. America does not manufacture. No, to quote my recently penned hub, 'the once productive might of a great nation has been squandered in the name of efficient profitability.'
What needs to be addressed is not the taxation or re-distribution of wealth, but the development of technology and industry to produce it again. And this time -- don't give it away.
You've written a mind-provoking hub here. I think I'm going to search out more of your writing.
Thanks for the good work -- and for whatever it's worth, to the previous commentor: hubs express an opinion and these do not have to be objective or reasonable to you. I find them quite so, myself. But then I don't expect an opinion to be anything more than someone's take on the situation.
To lmmartin:
Thank you for the comment.
Great hub...well written from a view that most Americans don't get the chance to hear. The government is in operations with the large corporations to further destroy the common man's freedom and liberty.
See my books at:
http://www.blurb.com/bookstore/detail/829543 Vol. 2 The Theory of Obamativity
http://www.blurb.com/bookstore/detail/815588 Vol. 1 The Common Man Opinion
In my two volume set, with six more volumes on the way, I outline the Theory of Obamativity. While the U.S. is looking at individual trees like Cap and tax and Health Care Tax, they are missing the forest standing there. Obama, and his radicals surrounding him, have 12 points of seizure. Through out history, other countries governments followed these same 12 points of seizure to wipe out personal freedoms and liberties thus bringing CHANGE to the social and political operations of said country. Read it and you will have to agree with what is happening.
To PubliusRed:
Thank you for your comment. I will need to read your artical before giving an opinion.

Eaglefeather, my belief is that the Constitution of the United States was a direct consequence of the sort of human behaviour you describe in your hub. Much of your observations of these modern elite would transpose easily to any other time in human history. Thankfully, those early settlers prevailed over the tyranny of a feudal dynasty.
However, the struggle for fair representation never ends, because avarice never ends.
Please, keep hubbing
