What is War?

"War is a state of prolonged violent, large-scale conflict involving two or more groups of people, usually under the auspices of government. " -Wikipedia.com

"In such a world of conflict, a world of victims and executioners, it is the job of thinking people, not to be on the side of the executioners." -Albert Camus

It is undeniably obvious that in our modern society the idea of war being a necessary evil has become acceptable in the new millennia. The idea of fighting for peace or freedom is not only an oxymoron, but completely ridiculous and pious. The fact remains the same for all wars, they are not fought for freedom or peace, but over beliefs and ideas. You can change an idea, but you cannot change a belief.

War is an idea proposed by governments and leaders and stems from the capability of instilling beliefs and ideas into a nations people freely. It is fought primarily over ideas and beliefs and most importantly, to forcefully change another's ideas or beliefs. Wars are often started through emotional reasoning and in response to possible threats which often do not exist. The precognitive ability of world governments, which is but misconstrued information and mistrust, is often the source of the necessity to change another's ideas or beliefs.

New World War Stew

There are some basic and necessary ingredients required of world governments in order to successfully politically annihilate another world government. In democracies, like ours, it takes only fear to strike the war match to the tinderbox named world.

"Fear is an emotional responsible to tangible and realistic dangers." -Wikipedia.com

From the days of Christ and numerous millennia before, fear has been the most effective tool used for both instilling order and securing governments on this planet named earth. It is imperative that fear be properly instilled into the people of said governments prior to actually directing those people towards the goal of war. Doing so requires direct violence, indirect violence, the possibility of violence, or the idea that violence must be stopped using violence.

Many governments are fortunate in the fact that they consistently feed violence to their people on a daily basis. The idea of violence brings fear, the idea of fear brings emotion, and emotion is the precursor to poor decision making. The conclusion can then be drawn that violence is also an effective tool in blurring the decisions of others and instilling fear, and therefore new ideas and beliefs.

Emotinal Turbulence

Setting the stage for emotional control can be a tricky undertaking. The human mind however, is extremely pliable and emotions can be triggered and practically "switched" on and off. It has been found that many words in the English vocabulary (as an example) can be used to draw out specific emotions. As an example, the picture of the starving humans in Africa should bring a small variety of very deeply rooted emotions to a front.

World leaders and powerful people use specific words, phrases, and body language to adversely effect the emotional state of those whose attention is focused on that person. The ability to manipulate a persons emotions in a particular speech or statement is essentially what can make that speech or statement great. Taking this into account, when preparing a civilization for war, the emotions must be manipulated through verbal means and photography, or the media.

This doesn't necessarily mean that the media is an "evil" tool, but instead that it is a tool that can be used for "evil" purposes. It is incredible to believe that most humans have the psychological means to make reasonable decisions when they are being constantly bombarded by emotional manipulation. Therefore, the control that most people believe they have in reality is partially limited by the ideas that are put into their heads by various media, wielding emotional manipulation.

How It Works

Understand first that the reasoning supplied to a nation does not necessarily have to reflect the actual reasoning deducted when determining that war may be used as a means to achieve any particular goal. In fact, many goals and agendas may be on the war platter and the presentation itself can be in no way related to the actual agendas. As unfortunate as this may seem, in reality, it is also true.

Once the goals of the international intrusion have been constructed, the reasoning to be presented to a population is then decided. It is extremely helpful when a violent act occurs within a particular nation or seems to be unavoidable when determining the actual presentation of war reasoning to a nations public. Once the foundation has been set, the fear has been deemed real, the public is presented with the package of fear and violence as well as the alternatives (war) determined by their particular government.

Metamorphosis

War is a machine that is constantly pumping out the same products where the quality is the same and the quantity seems only to grow. There is no new war, no good war, or better way to wage any particular war and there never will be. There is only war and those who gain from it.

When any particular leader can brush aside the words of his people and wage a war, he is no longer a leader, but a dictator. Tolerance of dictatorships is at an all time low in our modern world and yet modern leaders today seem to act more like dictators. Unfortunately, you do not have to call something war to attempt to change it with violence.

The priorities of a society who still consider war as an alternative tend to fall behind its international technological and economical competitors. This can be seen in any government that resorts to war and violence as a solution and not as a problem. Violence in itself is self destructive and reproductive by nature.

There is no one solution to the prevention of war and violence, there are many. A nation is responsible for its leader, not the other way around. There should be no funding for war or freedom when considering the power of knowledge and oppression. A society will eventually crumble and free itself, although it may again revert to violence, without the helping hand of another country who may gain from the fall or rise of any particular kind of nation. Communism is an excellent example.

The world can change, but only if people want it to change. Tolerance for violence isn't the solution and neither is avoiding violence. The only real solutions for ending war and violence come through knowledge, cooperation, and the understanding that nothing in this world lasts forever. Only through change, evolution, and development do any organisms or political structures survive. Understanding that if any particular method isn't working, hasn't worked for thousands of years, and won't work is a start.
