I own different kinds of Sony products and suprisingly stumble upon a strange solution to the quality problems of sony.

1.Sony VAIO

After paying a premium price to own this laptop, I encountered a strange issue after an year...vaio started booting itself continuously..after searching the net, i have realised this is a common problem with sony vaio...Online, one of the wise guy suggested about the improper "earthing" of sony vaio. Faced with the huge Bill to rectify the issue( sony service replaces possibly every other component), i decide to try my own....after a couple of days of analysis, i found that if i rest my hand on the laptop near the touchpad, the booting happens immediately...opened up the laptop, put a small piece of paper between the top & bottom piece near the touch pad..problem solved...forever.....it is now almost 2 years since then...

This is nice camera except for a small glitch, which again got solved with the piece of paper...

After a while, camera suddenly stopped reading the memory card....though memory card is the problem...so replaced with a new memory card...still the same problem....after a careful analysis, found that there is a small clearance between the card and the cover which closes up....placed a piece of paper over the card and closed the cover....Wonder again....no problem since then.. 

Another Sony product, another problem but the same fix...yes...small piece of paper..

6 Months after buying the product, the cordless stopped charging....Thinking that battery is the problem....replace the battery...still the problem continued...This time again, found that the pin from the battery doesn't mate perfectly with the socket in the phone...there was a clearance...used a tiniest piece of paper to make the fit tight...No problem after that. 

This was the first instance which happened quite a way back, i actually forgot abou this before encountering the above problems...

After a year into the purchase, my phone stopped reading the simcard..Had to put a small piece of paper between the simcard and the slot frame to make the fit correct...the phone never gave any trouble later.... 

In all the above products, except for the problem i have described above, i have never faced any other issues and i am happy with the products. Still, I am wondering about the design & fabrication of the sony products...given that all the above problems seems to be of single nature, that is, tight tolerance, SONY needs to look into their designs in detail.

The one brand which i am not able to find any fault at all is PANASONIC....I admire the quality of panasonic....I own/owned a portable CD Player,Tape Recorded, Vierra DVD HDMI sound system,TV,electric rice cooker, Washing machine, Refrigerator, Air Conditioner, Cordless Phone,mobile phone all from the panasonic....my wife has a panasonic hair dryer & hair Curler....

NOT A SINGLE PROBLEM in any of these products....Great, isn't it? 

For me, Buying a panasonic product becomes a natural effortless decision...
