Pop Star Britney Spears , the so called Queen of Pop was booked into the Van Nuys California Jail on charges of hit and run and driving with out a driving lisence from a incident back in the summer.

Britney came in on her own to the Van Nuys County Jail at about 9.30 pm on Monday October 16th and spent about 35 minutes there being photographed and fingerprinted. A court date for the charges has not been set and it is not really known at this time if the new troubles will cause her more problems with her on going child custody fight with ex husband Kevin Federline who now has custody of the couples two children.

It has been learned that the LAPD is investagating a car crash involving Orlando Bloom , that was a hit and run and it may have in fact been Orlando Bloom that was driving the car.

The accident in question occured around 2 pm on Friday shortly after Orlando Bloom left a Hollywood Club. A woman in the back seat fashion stylist Cher Coulter surfered a fractured neck. Minutes after leaving the club Orlando crashed into a parked car and began walking away from the car crash. Paparazzi in the area urged Orlando Bloom to return t the crash scene and he did.

LAPD detectives are investagating the crash and say that Bloom says a SUV with Paparazzi in it cut him off and that was what caused the car crash.

The investagation at this time is still open says LAPD spokeperson Shiela McPherson.

California state authorities investigating the overdose death of Anna Nicole Smith raided six locations Friday, including the offices and residences of two doctors.

California Attorney General Jerry Brown said he launched the investigation on March 30 after he learned the drugs involved in Smith's Mysterious Feb. 8 death were prescribed by California physicians and came from California pharmacies. He refused to specify what charges could be filed, saying the investigation involved the "prescribing and dispensing practices of several California licensed doctors and pharmacies."

Search warrants were served, and there were no arrests, he told a news conference. He added, "You don't go to a judge and get a search warrant for somebody's home unless you think some rather serious crime has been committed." To many drugs were prescribed to one person in such a small amount of time says Brown and we are going to get to the bottom of it.

Smith, a former Playboy Playmate, died of an accidental overdose of drugs, including a powerful sleep aid, at a Florida hotel. She was 39. But many people believe Howard K Smith was involved in some way in Anna Nicole Smiths Mysterious Death.

Searches were carried out in Los Angeles and Orange counties "related to doctors who provided medical treatment or prescribed drugs for Anna Nicole Smith or her associates," Brown explained.

Los Angeles County district attorney's spokeswoman Sandi Gibbons said a total of six locations were searched, including the homes and offices of two doctors, but she would not name the physicians.

Several people close to the model have fallen under suspicion since her death, including her psychiatrist, Dr. Khristine Eroshevich. Howard K Smith continues to be under suspicion also and has refused to take a lie detectors test.

At the time of Smith's death, more than 600 pills, including 450 muscle relaxants, were missing from prescriptions that were no more than five weeks old, according to sources in a Florida Medical Examiers office.

Asked if the investagation would expand to include the death of Smith's son, Brown said: "We're not setting any limits on this investigation." We will follow it to the end where ever it goes.

Daniel Smith the son of Anna Nicole Smith , age 20, died less than five months before his mother. Authorities have blamed his death on a combination of drugs including methadone and antidepressants. And he died under mysterious circumstances.
