No one can deny that the role of communication gadget is very important in this modern era. We cannot imagine if in this era without communication or suddenly something happens to the gadget. Many business opportunities will loose or many unexpected things happen. Because the very important role so the development in communication gadget increases very fast, better and more sophisticated.

In the developing country like Indonesia, only some numbers of the citizen who can access this things, so the government facilitated this by providing pay phones everywhere we could find them alongside the street, in offices, hospitals and many public places. But these things happened long time ago. I would like to describe each of the gadget base on my experience.

In the 80's, Public phones or pay phones were provided by the government to anticipate the great need of the public in communicating. This gadget was very easy to operate what you need just some coins which value 50 rupiahs or 500 rupiahs and then you come to the glass box 2.5 x 2,5 meters in wide and 3 meters in high, which there was a phone set in it and someone could start to phone. Another form was car phone this set of gadget was set up in a car then you made a call from you car, but this gadget was very rarely used only the rich who could use it. In the last of 80's, the government invited the private who owned the capital to take part in providing the communication facilities by making warung telekomunikasi [telecomunication stall].

In the mid of 90's the use of cellular phones became popular, but they were still limited and the shape was not too handy. In addition there were also beepers [pagers] these ones just to receive the message through the operator. The beeper users were more than the cell phone. Later because many inovations in the cell phone and the price of its pulse become cheaper, the beeper was dissapeared changed by cell phone. The cell phone formerly only for calling, sending and receiving the SMS, nowdays it has many functions like camera, FM radio, mp3 and can access internet as long as supported by the sim card operator and the become more handy and slimmer.

The role of internet cannot be denied now. In the past, it was only used in the office. Now many people can install it at home, as long as one's has a set of computer equipment he can access it, formerly the system used the telephone network and the price was still expensive and monopolized by one provider. But now many competitors run this business. the operators of the SIM card also play in this business. They provide modem which is more practice and can be brought everywhere especially for the laptop users. The business opportunity is also open. In the past the capital owners opened telecomunication stall, now they open 'warung internet' or 'warnet' [internet rental] in some strategic locations like near campuses, schools or near housing complexes which the inhabitants cannot access the internet because do not have the oppurtunities as an effect of global monetary crisis. The internet rental are equipped at least six sets of computer equipments and their operations are based on local area network [LAN] system. The visitors can browse the internet or just type using a computer. The tariffs is determined by the hours they have been spent.

By the flaring up of social network.[i.e. friendster, facebook, myspace and many others] the use of the internet increases. The most fenomena is facebook with 225 millions users this social utility become the most popular among others and the effects to the communication business and its proponent are very good. The profit will come to the owners and to the customers many choices can be taken. As long as we can use all the ease wisely. The bad effects can be lessened.
