The Earth's Heat
47On a hot sizzling day who would want to bask in the sun? It would be understandable if you want to tan yourself or simply get skin cancer. The heat of the world is getting worse each day that sometimes when you walk down the street you see custom feather flags sway with the wind but when you try to feel it, the wind is never there. These days, a comfortable place is hard to find especially if you live in a tropical location like Asia. The heat just sinks in to the earth and spreads all over like crazy.
In the olden days, people would just sip a glass of cold water to keep cool. Today, everybody wants to drink water from the Antarctic. A shade of a tree is simply not enough as people need air-conditioning or wind from the North Pole.
Often times, we hear old people talk about how the old days felt. How the breeze was cool and how the sun brought only soothing heat. They reminisce the times where you could walk a mile and never sweat a bit. We also hear the oldies talk about malls and how a Burger King flag would invite them to eat food that is hard to resist. They often sound funny but if you would come to think of it, they were the ones blessed with the earth's splendor. Although they have experienced the worst times, at least they never suffered the wrath of Mother Nature.
Now, all we have left is bits and pieces to save. If we want to stop the harsh heat and the rising water levels, we should move know. If not now, when? Shall we just leave everything to civic groups and the government and not start on our own? Time is growing shorter, the resolution should start NOW.
