Lets Bring Um Back

I must ask; how many times has a Christian left their faith because Christian teachings seemed to have too many contradictions?

I have had friends that I later find are atheist. I had to ask myself, how can this be? They seem to be such nice people, helpful, charitable and caring people. I have come to believe that many self-professed atheists believe that they are because religion has convinced them of this. Religion teaches that there is but one GOD! Christianity, Islam, and Judaism all teach this. This must be confusing.

There is only one God and yet there seems to be hundreds of different descriptions of him, having yet thousands of different theologies according to interpretation.

If there is a God, he should make up his mind who and what he is!

It does not take much reasoning to deduce that if there is one GOD, he would KNOW, who and what he is. It is humanity who is confused.

There are so many denominations of Christianity and Islam? They both profess to believe in and follow the one God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and Ishmael. I can see there being some differences between the Christian and Islamic beliefs. This was caused by the non inclusion of Ishmael by the Hebrew beliefs system. That the covenant that God had made concerning the descendants of Abraham did not include Ishmael?

The division has begun.

By the time that Jesus walked the earth; the Hebrew faith had become fragmented by several different political factions. Faith in God had become political, economic and militarily minded. Jesus pointed out these errors to the Pharisees, Sadducee's and Zealots many times. An entire chapter is dedicated to the Pharisees (Matthew 23).

Having being raised as a Christian, I will be addressing what I believe to be our falling away from the truth. There is one truth, with hundreds of interpretations. We have created this many supposed truths. Jesus spoke of there being many false prophets. This may be part of that. Much earlier God spoke of a time that he would stop sending Prophets to mankind, and that when he does, a mother and father should kill their child when they start prophesying, because it will be FALSE prophesy.

Revelation 12 states that Satan will cast out of his mouth a flood, and the earth will open her mouth and swallow it up. What do we suppose that this flood is that is coming out of the mouth of the father of lies? I know, .....LIES.

And here we are today, almost two thousand years later, feeding and spreading these false interpretations of the word of God.

It just seems to me that when the Lord revealing prophesy, he had one truth as to what he was saying. How can we justify so many different interpretations that seem to be so utterly contradictory?

I KNOW!

The devil made us do it.

I was once told that I needed to be re-baptized because the church that I was baptized in uses musical instruments in their worship.

Another pastor suggested that I needed to be baptized again in his church because they worship on Saturday. Do we really have to be standing in the proper location when we are baptized for it to be legitimate? I do not think so.

I believe that we should uninterrupted the end time prophesy written in the books of Daniel and Revelation, that is said to be coming from the mouth of God through his messenger angel Gabriel. rethink our foundation on which our beliefs stand upon.

The rest of scripture will become easier to see and understand without contradictions. There are too many wanna be believers that go to church hungry for understanding and leave hungry. And there are too many believers sitting in the church loving JELLO. Yes it is nourishing, but not what I would be hoping for. "I prayed for UNDERSTANDING". In order to understand scripture I believe that we must first understand prophesy. We must make every effort to interpret as is little as possible. We must make every effort to understand scripture as written. We do not want to change the meaning of these things.

It is my belief that God understands the human languages sufficiently to express exactly what he intended for us to understand. I also believe that when the Lord gave a message to Gabriel to be delivered to Daniel that God gave the message to Gabriel in terms that he would undoubtedly understand.

The Lord used angelic terms and references. Gabriel then delivered the message exactly as he received it, changing nothing. This may be said to be “MY” interpretation …I believe that we should follow Gabriel’s example. And when the lord spoke to a human, he uses human terminology.

I would like to discuss what I believe is the mega center of our misunderstandings. This would be end time prophesy beginning with the book of Daniel.

Chapter one describes the details of King Nebuchadnezzar conquering Jerusalem in the year 605 BC and taking hostages back to Babylon.

Chapter two introduces the art of interpretation of dream visions. The Lord induces King Nebuchadnezzar to have a dream that he can not remember. He is still terribly disturbed even though he remembers nothing. The Lord gives the details of that dream and the interpretation of it to Daniel who in turn informs the king.

The dream was of a statue which the Lord interprets as representing the four kingdoms that shall have dominion over the earth. In this instance I believe that earth is symbolic of the promised land.

King Nebuchadnezzar is said to be the head of the statue, representing the first kingdom. The second, third and fourth kingdoms are described as being different parts of the statue. After the duration of these four kingdoms this vision shows the statue being knocked down and the thrones of God ate set up.

Chapter seven describes a vision that was given to Daniel in the first year of Belshazzar who was Nebuchadnezzar's grandson.

The first year of Belshazzar would have been in 559BC. In this vision Daniel sees four beasts rising up out of the sea. The first was like a lion and had eagle’s wings and the second was like unto a bear. The third beast was like unto a leopard with four wings of a fowl. And the beast also had four heads. After this Daniel saw a fourth beast dreadful and terrible with teeth of iron, and it had ten horns. And a little horn came up among the ten horns replacing three. (7:23) “Thus he (Gabriel) said, the fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon the earth… Gabriel also said, “And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise. And another shall arise after them … and he shall subdue three kings”. The little horns shall subdue three kings after the ten?

If we restrain ourselves from getting carried away with our skills of interpretation, we will clearly see that both of the visions that we have discussed were clearly stated as being the first four kingdoms upon the earth with Babylon being the first.

Chapter eight describes and identifies the second kingdom as being the Medo Persians- and the third as being Greece.

This little horn of this fourth beast (as described in chapter 7) has often been misinterpreted as being the Anti-Christ who is foretold to come at some time in our future. That is simply not what these visions have been interpreted to represent by Gabriel.

History shows that Babylon, Persia, Greece and, The Roman Empire was the four kingdoms spoken of in these prophesy.

If we restrain ourselves from getting carried away with our skills of interpretation, we will clearly see that both of the visions that we have discussed were clearly stated as being the first four kingdoms upon the earth with Babylon being the first.

This would mean that most all of prophesy that is written in the book of Daniel would have been fulfilled before 138 AD.

I believe that if the churches would understanding this to be true first, and then analyze everything else that is written in scripture, they will find that it all fits together rather nicely.

If the churches can do this, then the contradictions will have have left the house, and the wanna be believers will come back and receive understanding and then believe!

Part two will be submitted Soon.

I like your style. This is very clear and concise. I wonder if you have looked into the beginning? I am writing a series of four short stories (parts can be read in their own right). This will be followed by an interpretation of where we come from and where we are going to - with references. I have completed part 1, 'we come one' and part 2 'the pioneering king'. I am working on a story on the downfall of Atlantis and Mu presently.

I am very excited to meet you, keep in touch!
