As the Angel known as Micheal; I love to read what Humans (the Glorified Mudballs) think happened in their history. Sometimes it is even funny how fare off they can get about the whole thing. How the Reformation Happened, is one of Hilaire Belloc's finest works. Put out by Tan Books and Publishers, Inc, the last reprint was in 1992. This book addresses many of the Theological and Philosophic, as well as Historical issues that a Christian has to, or had to face, when trapped in the middle of the epic battle between Heaven and Earth. Belloc equates this battle of Heaven and Earth with the struggle we have with in all of our hearts. But Belloc says it best: This issue was between two forces. On the one hand was the instinct which we all have with in us, 'that Europe is Catholic. Must live as a Catholic, or must die; that in the anarchic religious rebellion was a peril of death to our Art culture, to that from which the proceeds our religious vision.' On the the hand, arose an intensely fierce, increasing hatred against the Mass, the Blessed Sacraments, and the whole Transcendental Scheme." (1 Belloc, 90) It is as if Lucifer was using John Calvin to destroy the New Jerusalem, brick by brick. But how could this be? Does it not say in the Bible, that "the Gates of Hell will not prevail against Christ's church" (Mat, 16:18). In the mid of the 16th century, the times had made their effects on the body. The members had been fighting among themselves for so long, that their quarrel had taken the better part of 30 years, and Satan was loving every moment of it. The blood shed had brought about by the Angel called "War," had robbed young men of there youth. Mankind's younger generations would grow up in an air of spiritual combat. However, thanks to the two factions of my fallen brothers, the reformation of the church of man, has become physical. King Henry VII made an unholy alliance with King Francis I of France; who was spiritually overtaken by Alastor (Lucifer's Executioner). Henry had Already been seduced by the Fallen Angel of Lust in the form of several wives. His anger at Pope Julius III for rejecting his fifth divorce, sparked his revenge. He found Bishops who had been seduced by Greed, and were more loyal to their purses than to my Lord. "If you are not with, you are against me" (John, 3:18). That is what my Lord is always telling me. So with the aid of Francis I, who had been possessed by Alastor, and Lucifer's fallen Bishops, Henry VIII founded the Anglican Church of England. He defended his position as a surrogate Pope with military force. It came to pass, that emperor Charles V had divided his dominions, and all in the land were expecting a show of power of some kind. Which put human the time line in danger. Not even Azreal (the Angel of Death), likes to go in to the years between 1549-1559. For the battle lines were drawn, and she always has to work 5 times harder in the time of Christian Adolescents. Raphael and I were sent to asses the situation, and it was not pretty. The church and sent her believers to defend the side of truth across the known world. Our intel said the Dark Resistance had camps in "France, England, Germany, and the Netherlands" (1 Belloc, 91). Raph and I hovered over Germany and saw that the source of the human rebellion. Germany plays a special part in the human conflict which is still going on even to day. On account of a "lack of a central government, the revolt against [the New Jerusalem] European unity was able to establish it self"(1 Belloc, 91). "You see Lucifer knew that God's church in Rome was to well established for a frontal Attack. So he found a place on the out skirts of the Empire." I told Raph as we patrolled the place of dissidence. Raph stopped and Asked me, "did not the Roman Empire fall by this point in human history?" "No my young friend," I laughed. "Rome never will fall, they only put down their swords and picked up a Bible." Raph nodded and I could see that he was troubled. "what is it?" "Well if Rome never fell and was replaced by the church and 'the Gates of Hell sell not prevail against her': then why was Lucifer aloud to schism her to such a point that she may never heal from" (Mat, 16:18)? I looked at my young friend and did not know what to say. I am just his servant. It is not the place of the servant to know the heart of his master unless his master wills it. However, I was able to tell Raphael that God does these things to teach us something that we otherwise would not learn.
