Taking a break from the "lfg" (looking for group) grind, I decided to do a little solo questing in that wonderful other world of Netherstorm. My travels found me talking to Mama Wheeler at the Eco-Dome Midrealm. Of course, she had a request ready for me, which was to obtain Doomclaw's hand, and she promised me a decent reward should I succeed in my task. I had little difficulty locating Doomclaw and separating him from his hand, and I made a speedy return to Mama Wheeler.

Of the choices Mama Wheeler presented to me, I could use only one, the fist weapon. So, I selected the Ripfang Paw, and I was soon merrily on my way to resume my exploration of Netherworld.

I don't recall receiving a fist weapon as a reward, and I certainly haven't gotten my hands on one during group challenges. So, I could barely wait to try out my new toy, and I raced off to begin my next assignment. The Ripfang Paw does between 113-210 damage, with 59.8 damage per second. It comes complete with an Agility enchant of +10 and a Stamina enchant of +9 and upon equipping, it increases my attack power by 32. The speed is 2.70.

I had so much fun using my fist weapon. My unarmed fighting skill level quickly advanced, and now, it is currently 341/350. That made me curious about what other fist weapons are to be found.

I learned the highest damage dealing fist weapons are the Vengeful Gladiator's Left Render and the Vengeful Gladiator's Right Ripper. These two epic quality beauties are awesome to behold. The Left Render is an off-hand fist weapon and deals 103.1 damage per second an overall damage range of 187 to 349. It comes with an enchant of +30 Stamina, and upon equipping it increases attack power by 34, improves critical strike rating by 21, improves your resilience rating by 12, and improves your hit rating by 8. Additionally, your attacks "ignore 49 of your opponent's armor." It has a speed of 2.60. It's sister, the Right Ripper have mirror stats. Even more interesting is they both can be bought from Arena vendors.

Other notable epic quality fist weapons are the Talon of the Phoenix and its off-hand mate, the Claw of the Phoenix. Those two drop in Tempest Keep, and I doubt I'll be wearing the likes of these two beauties any time soon!!

The Reflex Blades, a rare drop, are found in The Arcatraz and are "donated" by Dalliah the Doomsayer. Another interesting off-hand, the Boggspine Knuckles, is dropped by Hungerfen in the Underbog.

For those of us, though, who are low on the totem pole when it comes to getting a fist weapon, there are a few which are available from vendors, but in limited supply. The Nexus-Claw can be purchased from Dealer Jadyan and Zarevhi, both residents of Netherstorm. The off-hand, Void-Talon, can be bought from the same dealers.

If you just want to have fun with your fists and don't have time to live at the arena or move into Tempest Keep or the Underbog, successfully helping out Mama Wheeler is the quick and relatively easy way to get your hands on a decent fist weapon.
