Ghost or Not?

Maybe you may remember the 1987 film Three Men and a Baby. If so, there was a scene in the apartment where there was a little boy standing behind a curtain that was not part of the movie. It has been said that this little boy is a ghost. Some said that the ghost was the son of the owner of the New York apartment (Eric Clapton) where the movie was filmed. It has been rumored that Clapton's son fell from the window. Others say it was a cut out of Ted Danson used purposely to promote the next movie Three Men and a Little Lady. Another rumor is that the boy shot himself with a shotgun in the apartment.

I Remember watching the movie and I saw the image behind the curtain. It was an eerie feeling. You watch the clip and be the judge for yourself. Is it a ghost or is it a cut out?

The Boy Behind the Curtain

If you look behind the curtain, you can see the image.

Whether it's a cardboard cutout or not, it's creepy. Watching that scene gives me the heebie-jeebies every time.

I watched a special about this, and they actually did a scene layover to try to prove it was that Ted Danson cardboard cut out. I couldn't watch it long enough to decide, though.

Creepy.

My conclusion is that I think it is a cut out of Ted Danson. I want to know what everyone else thinks.

I'm leaning toward neither - that it's some sort of prop made to generate hubbub about the movie and get more people watching. Not necessarily a cutout of Danson, but something intentionally placed there by moviemakers.

Who knows, though - it's still creepy to look at. It's amazing how this is still talked about today. Good hub :)

Hi Useful Knowledge - I watched your video and came to the conclusion that the shadowy shape behind the curtain was a look like a cardboard cut out - too skinny and stiff to be a real person or even a ghostly look-a-like - but then in the above photo on this page the figure looks more rounded and boy shaped - so who knows? eerie is the word......cheers

Useful Knowledge--I'm not sure if this shot was cut out of the DVD version...Maybe I'll check, because I know for a fact that this shot was in fact in the VHS version. It gave me the creeps then and it still does now! Maybe you should write a hub of the midget from The Wizard of Oz too! That one is really creepy and can only be found on VHS because in the DVD version, it was edited out.

I remember vividly this scene from the original vhs release. I was an ametuer video editor and my co-workers and I discected this scene frame by frame. This scene is not from the original release! I can assure you that the last time the boy is visible in the scene he is not wearing a top hat. I believe this was edited to hush critics and possible lawsuits.

i think it is a ghost because the camera never stops rolling and when they pass it the 1st time there is nothing there.
