The goddess.... Known by many names She is Mother Earth, Lady, Moon, many many more, But she is a part of the universal spirit. She is part of the all. here are some of the other names she is known by....

here is a list of some of the goddess I have read up on. I am sure this isn't all I will fill in more as I learn.

Aphrodite:Greek-(AKA:Roman:Venus)Her name means "Laughter loving", (Aphros is Greek for "foam") Goddess of Passionate, Sexual Love. Goddess of Beauty. She was said to have been born of sea foam, full grown, near an island called Cythera. The west wind carried her from there to Cyprus, where Hours found her and carried her to the Gods. Another story says she was the daughter of Zeus and Dione(a Titan Goddess).

Aradia:Italian-Queen of Witches. Daughter of Diana. A protectress of Witches in General, a Very Powerful Entity.

Artemis:Greek-(AKA:Roman:Diana)Daughter of Zeus and Leto, twin sister of Apollo. Goddess of the Moon. The Huntress. The Deity of Wild Places, Groves and Ponds.

Athena:Greek-(AKA:Pallas Athena, Pallas. Roman:Minerva)Daughter of Zeus and Metis. Goddess of War, Wisdom and Art. Warrior Goddess and Protectress.

Bast:Egyptian-(AKA; Bastet)Goddess of Protection and Cats. Symbolizes the Moon as a Swelling Womb. Goddess of Pleasure, Music, Dancing and Joy.

Brigid:Celtic-(AKA; Brigantia, Bridget, Brigit, or Brighid)Triple Goddess. Warrior Goddess and Protectress. She is Strong and Wise.Daughter of Dagda. Goddess of Seasons, Doctors, Poets, Smiths, and women in Childbirth.

Brigit:Pronounced Breet, means "High One".(AKA-Brid, Brig, Brigid, Brighid, Bree, or Bres)There are three Sister Goddesses named Brigit in Ireland. As a Goddess of Fire, Brigit is associated with Imbolc.

Cerridwen:Welsh-(AKA;Caridwen, Ceridwen)Moon and Harvest Goddess. Associated with the Dark Mother Aspect of the Crone. Moon, Grain and Nature Goddess. Cerridwen's Symbol is a white Sow.

Diana:Roman-Moon Goddess. Goddess of the Hunt. Mother Figure for Witches.

Epona:Celtic-Goddess of Horses.

Flora:Roman-Goddess of Spring and Birth.

Fortuna:Roman-Goddess of Fate.

Freya:Scandinavian:(AKA:Freyia, Freyja, Frea)Commander and Queen of the Valkyries. Freya is said to be the most beautiful of the Scandinavian Goddesses. Lover/Wife of Odin. Moon Goddess. Goddess od Love, Beauty, Fertility, and Youth. Freya was second only to Frigg, Odin's wife. Freya lived in a palace in Asgard called Folkvangar(Field of Folks). Freya traveled over the battle field searching for valiant slain men in a chariot driven by two cats. Freya was married to Od(Odr, Odur) and they had a daughter named Hnoss.

Frigg:Scandinavian:(AKA:Frigga)Her name means "wife" or "beloved". Goddess of marriage and justice, associated with fertility and love. Her home in Asgard was the beautiful palace Fensal. She had eleven maidservants, sometimes considered to be various aspects of Frigg herself: Fulla, Hlin, Gna, Lofn, Vjofn, Syn, Snotra, Eir, Var, Gefjon, and Vor. Wife of Odin. Mother of Balder and Aesir. Frigg, although she did love Odin, was known to have affairs, so did Odin. Frigg also knew the future, but never spoke of it to anyone.

Hecate:Greek-(AKA;Hekate)Crone aspect of the Moon. Moon Goddess.

Hel:Goddess of the dead and ruler of the underworld. Daughter of the Fire God Loki after he ate the heart of a giant witch named Angerbotha. Hel ha two siblings, the wolf Fenrir, and the evil serpent, Jormungand. After Hel was born, Odin cast her into Niflheim. Her hall was called Eliudnir, meaning misery.Her realm, Niflheim, came to be called Hel, after the Goddess.

Hera:Greek-(AKA;The Roman Goddess,Juno)Sister and Wife to Zeus. Goddess of Marrige.

Hestia:Greek-(AKA;Vesta)Her name means "Hearth". Goddess of Home and Hearth. Goddess of Household Harmony.

Isis:Egyptian-Triple Goddess. Protectress of the Home. Goddess of Magick, Earth, the Moon, Love, Wisdom, fertility, and Mothers.

Juno:Roman-Married to Jupiter. Goddess of Women and Motherhood.

Kali:Hindu-Protectress of Abused Women. Goddess of Creation and Destruction.

Kore:Greek-(AKA;Persephone) Queen of the Underworld. Parents are Zeus and Demeter.

Lilith:Hebrew-Adam's First Wife. Said to have been turned into a demoness.

M

Maat:Egyptian-(AKA;Ma'at)Goddess of Divine Order and Justice. Her Symbol is the Feather.

Maeve:Celtic-(AKA;Medb)Her Lover is Fergus. War Goddess. Goddess of Earth Fertility.

Meshkent:Egyptian-Goddess of Birth.

Minerva:Roman-(AKA;Athena:Greek)Goddess of Crafts and Wisdom.

Morgan:Celtic-Said to Have Been Married to Merlin. Doubled with the Lady of the Lake. Goddess of Water and Magick.

Nephtys:Egyptian-(AKA:Nephthys)Goddess of Sisters, Midwifes and Surprises. Goddess of the Dead. Sister and wife of Set.

Nymph:Greek:(AKA:Naiads=Spring, Lake and River Nymphs, Dryads or Hamadryads=Tree and Forest Nymphs, Alseids=Grove Nymphs, Nereids=Salt and Freshwater Nymphs, Oceanids=Sea Nymphs, Oreads=Mountain Nymphs) Goddesses of Nature. They lived a long time, but were not immortal.

Rhiannon:Welsh-Goddess of Horses, Fertility, Birds, and the Underworld. Great Mother Goddess.

Selene:Greek-Moon Goddess. Goddess of Magick and Solutions.

Sequana:Celtic-River Goddess.

Valkyries:Scandinavian-(Valkyrjr is Old Norse for "Choosers of the slain") Odin's Daughters. Female Warriors Who Carried the Souls of heroic Men Killed in Battle to Valhalla. The names of some of the Valkyries are: Hild(warrior), Goll(screaming), Hrist(Shaker), Mist(Mist), Skogul(Raging), Skeggjold(Ax Time), Hlokk(Shrieking), Herfjotur(Host Fetter), Geirahod(Spear Bearer), Randgrid(Shield Bearer), Gunn(Battle), and Rota. The Goddess Freya was Commander of the Valkyries. Freya was entitled to half of the dead heros, and she brought then to her own hall, Sessrumnir. Odin's Favorite of the Valkyries was Brynhild(AKA:Brunnehild, Brunhild, Brunhilda) She disobeyed Odin and he punished her, Putting her to sleep in a ring of fire where only a brave hero could go and awaken her.

Venus:Roman-(AKA;Aphrodite:Greek)Goddess of Love, Beauty and Romance.

Vesta:Roman-Goddess of Fire.

I am so glad to see this kind of information out there. You can probably find more information on different goddesses on wikipedia.com. Just as a suggestion. I love the pictures as well. Thank You for putting it up.
