Every so often there comes along a commercial that you can't wait to see again. For me it is the Toyota Prius Commercial.. Harmony. A very clever schematics of movement and color have caught America's imagination.   I am so fascinated by a human made waterfall or tree. The colors and the movements are so quick that I barely have time to take it all in. A fantasy land composed of humans  as nature to suggest a balance or Harmony between machine and environment. Clever and almost genius. Who is behind this concept and how was it pulled off so well? Let's take a look...

 Also noted is the the commercial "Solar" that makes a selling point about the Prius's solar power generator as a human sculpted sun floats on by.  A shorter commercial than Harmony the Solar commercial depicted people made trees growing form the sand.  A very unique concept.  The title claims the Prius is  "Harmony between man Nature and Machine"  In the Prius MPG film, the Prius pulls the man made sun behind it as it drives down the road blowing the human flowers and grass.

 The Prius offers a MPG of 51/48, pretty impressive for the price, just starting at $22,000.  Although it is popular now I wonder if it will last.  It gives off less emissions.  For a thousand dollars more you can also get the solar roof in your vehicle.  The Prius offer versions II through V. Will this vehicle stand the test of teime?  It is sure off to a good start.  It is also paving the was for other automobile companies as well.

The commercials have started airing in May of 2009 and have been the top of the Nelson ratings for best liked commercial. The Harmony commercial only took a few months to make. Under the direction of Mr. Hide, Director, people became a part of an amazing landscape. He comments in the video how he recalled clouds as a child.  And even though they are made of people those clouds are just as soft and billowy as any cloud I have ever seen!

The Prius had to increase it's production to 500,000 per year due to the popularity of the commercials.

If you just read this hub to review the commercials again and again that's ok. It is fascinating to look at it because you can see something different every time you look. I anxiously awaiting to see if there are any more Prius Commercial in the works. I was looking desperately for perhaps a formal title to the art form represented here but could not find one.  Surely this type of art will surface again. Not doubt the directors of this commercial are paving the way for commercials everywhere.  I expect to see  another one of these advertisements by Superbowl Sunday!  At any rate I do think these commercials are worthy of a hub  in themeselves.
