This beautiful pale pink quartz is a perfect symbol for love. Holding, wearing or just gazing at a piece of Rose Quartz fills you with feelings of love, peace and happiness.

Associated with the heart chakra and used to help balance this chakra, it aids not only with love of your fellow man (or woman) but love of the self too, enabling our heart energies to expand and embrace everything with pure, unconditional love.

As a stone for healing it is used to help with heart problems and also for calming, de-stressing and reducing high blood pressure.

It encourages us to take a more light-hearted approach to life, not to take things so much to heart that we become unduly upset and stressed.

Rose Quartz is said to attract love and has long been used in love rituals and spells. Personally I don’t believe that you should ever use magic to try to make someone fall in love with you – as you are interfering with their free will! However, I see no harm in performing a love spell to attract a loving relationship into your life... Here’s a candle magic spell for you to try (preferably on a Friday, on a waxing moon):

Take a pink candle and anoint it with Rosemary Oil (you can carve your name and a heart symbol on to the candle beforehand, if you wish). If you have any Rose incense it would be nice to burn that too. Place pieces of Rose Quartz around the candle, or surround the base of the candlestick with a Rose Quartz bracelet).

Take a few deep breaths to calm your mind and relax. Light the candle saying something like:

"I dedicate this candle to Love.

I am attracting a loving relationship into my life.

All my needs, both emotional and physical, will be met.

And so it is!"

Then give thanks, in advance, for the love coming your way!

Allow the candle to burn for as long as is safely possible (never leave a candle unattended!) and only use the candle again for the same purpose.

Afterward, carry a piece of the Rose Quartz with you, or wear the bracelet... and who knows, soon someone new and exciting may enter your life!
