I recently started drinking Green Tea. Previously I was a coffee drinker. I still love coffee, I just don't drink as much. Also, about five years ago I stopped drinking sodas and cola drinks. No more Coke and Pepsi for me. I drink only water and fruit juices. After switching to water in lieu of colas I lost 10 pounds.
But back to the Green Tea. What I have learned so far is that Green Tea is as close to a miracle drink as one can get. You may remember a few years ago there were news stories going round about something in red wine that kept the French from having as much heart problems as Americans. Something called reservatol(sp), a strong antioxidant was keeping the French circulatory systems flowing smoothly. Now I have learned that Green Tea has polyphenols and catechins which are antioxidants that are twice as efficient as those in red wine.
The Benefits of Green Tea include treatments for diabetes, high blood pressure, reducing cholesterol, fighting several types of cancer, and weight loss. There are also claims that Green Tea helps with acne but I am not so sure about that claim yet. I am reading and studying now and will write more as i learn about this amazing Green tea.
