The History and Benefits of Coca Cola
71Since I was a young child, I have consumed many soda drinks including Pepsi, Dr. Pepper, Root Beer and many others, but Coca Cola is and has always been my favorite beverage and over the years I have discovered that it has many benefits, including medical which I will discuss later, but first I wish to convey a brief outline of the history of Coca Cola.
Coca Cola was invented in 1886 by John Pemberton from AtlantaGeorgia who created the formula in a three-legged brass kettle, but the actual name of Coca Cola and its flowing letters came from Mr. Pemberton’s book keeper and partner, Frank Robinson. This now famous household product was first introduced on May 8th, 1886 at the soda fountain of Jacob’s Pharmacy in AtlantaGeorgia and it was marketed as a tonic and contained extorts of the Kola Nut which is rich in Caffeine.
In 1891 the sole proprietor rights of the product was purchased by Asa Candler for the whopping price of $2,300 and by 1892 Mr.Candler’s reputation for being a great salesman increased the sales of Coca Cola and due to this success, he liquidated his pharmaceutical business and focused is time and effort on promoting the Coca Cola product and with his brother, Frank Robinson and two other associates founded the Coca Cola Company.
Now in 1919 after many years of success and innovation, the Coca Cola Company was sold for twenty-five million dollars to a group of investors lead by Ernest Woodruff and W.C. Bradley and the now famous company was restructured as a Delaware corporation. Four years later Mr. Woodruff’s son, Robert Winship Woodruff became President of the company and through decades of his leadership, the Coca Cola Company became one of the most successful businesses in the world.
As I said earlier, Coca Cola has many benefits including medical and I have used this king of pop drinks to relieve such aliments as heartburn, inflammation of the stomach, sore throat, headaches, and being an Asthmatic, I have even used it to help my breathing; furthermore, this historically rich product calms nerves and relieves tension during stressful situations and in my opinion it can be a great ice-breaker at social gatherings.
In conclusion, Coca Cola is more than a simple product for its success is a story of hard work and dedication. The Coca Cola Company itself revolutionized the economic world and over the decades has become the flag bearer of innovation.

It's undoubtedly true that when Coca-Cola first came out, it did have definite medicinal uses. After all, it contained cocaine and cola extract. It also contained sugar. Now all of those ingredients are gone, replaced by food coloring, caffeine and high fructose corn syrup.
