The History of Dr. Pepper
69Dr Pepper
Dr. Pepper goes back all the way to 1885. December 1, 1885 is the recognized first date that the beverage was served. It was invented by Charles Alderton in Morrison's Old Corner Drug Store in Waco, Texas. Dr. Pepper has become outragiously popular since then. Dublin, Texas is the town where the oldest Dr. Pepper bottling company is located. They still make Dr. Pepper from that company, which you can find, but it is rare. Dr. Pepper has become a part of society. Dr Pepper bottles can be found in the Beatles' films Let it Be and Imagine. Some slogans include "King of Beverages" from 1889-1914 and "Drink it slow. Dr.'s orders" from 2008 until present. Dr Pepper is the oldest major soft drink in the United States.
Flavors
The following are some flavors that Dr Pepper has embraced.
