Yesterday I asked in my hub, Is the Honeymoon Over With Pres. Obama? Well, today I had to be with my church young mens group and missed the Pres. big speach. So I get home tonight and start goggling what his speech is about. I come across the write up from the New York Times. I opened it and start reading it. I could not believe my eyes. It appeared that the Times is starting to question and turn again the President on health care reforms. Remember this is the New York Times I am talking about here! I may have read this into it, but I really had the feeling that they were not happy with the situation.

Statements such as "Health legislation is his highest legislative priority, and his success or failure could shape the rest of his presidency."

And “Everyone appreciates the fact that Obama has devoted so much time to health care. The bully pulpit is powerful"

Also, "a conservative faction of Democrats, issued a statement saying that a deal was still a long way off. And a senior Democratic aide on Capitol Hill said party leaders now believed it was essential for Mr. Obama to be more specific about what he wanted in a health care bill — and not just exhort Congress to pass one."

I was starting to feel that the liberal paper was starting to get a little ticked off. That Pres. Obama had just let the legislature go and try to pass a health reform bill, without any driection direction from the white house.

Maybe it is just me, and I was reading in too much between the lintes, but I feel some pressure starting to come from his fellow liberals and wanting some answers.

Yet I could be wrong, because these are leftest and they can change their minds over night.

As always this is going to be fun to watch. With the concept that liberals destroy everyone the don't like or that are a threat to them. Where will all of this end up at?

Eovery --- There's been boatloads of garbage coming out of Washington for decades. The whole lot of them disgust me.

I did watch Obama's speech today and man was HE pissed.

I don't read the same loss of confidence in those quotes from the NY Times, but there is no doubt Obama is not the media darling he was in the primaries and against McCain.

Sincerely wish we could find a truly unbiased media outlet to get our news from. BBC perhaps?

Anyway, thanks for keeping your eye on the ball.

MM

P.S. You know, you could say something I absolutely abhor, but your big old cheshire cat grin is so damned adorable I simply can't find it in me to get upset with ya! Keep on hubbing yourself, friend! MM

Mighty-mom, I am just a simple pussy-cat inside. But I admit, I am very conservative and I do not approve of the very left. I hope and glad you do not take a big offense in my statement.

I am just trying to level the playing field. The conservatives are behind the ball, and with a lot of the crap that is going on. The republicans have lost the conservative notion, and the dems have become so liberal. So we end up with the most liberal president ever and he is setting up a totarian type government, with Czars everywhere and they all report back to him. This seems unconstitutional to me, and no one is lifting a finger to stop it. The media is totally lost.

And to let you know, a boat load of people are pissed at Obama. Our economy is going to H***, and this health care will totally kill the economy. We are not ready for it. (even if we wanted it.) Quit trying to ramrod all this poor legislation down our throats. It is too fast - too much.

Sorry for the rant, I appreciate you a lot too, Take care!

Keep on hubbing!

This was a great article, Eovery. You nailed it. Once the NY Times and other liberal press pans this president, when he deserves it, then you know the honeymoon is over. This is also good for America. It will now require that the president put some pressure on Congress to come up with a better bill -- I hope. Keep up the good work, Ed.
