In Romans 5:2 it says that we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Colossians 1:27 says that Christ in you is the hope of glory. 'Hope' means 'strained expectancy' or 'earnest expectation', as if looking with an out-stretched neck, expecting the glory.

In II Thessalonians 2:14 we read "Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ".

Remember in II Corinthians 5:5 it says that we have been given the 'earnest' or 'down payment' of the Spirit? 1 John 3:2 says "Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doeth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is".

You can't see it yet, because it's on the inside of you! "When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory" Colossians 3:4!

GLORY IS NOT THE WILD BLUE YONDER

Luke 9:28-31 states, "And it came to pass about an eight days after these sayings, he took Peter and John and James, and went up into a mountain to pray. And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistering. And, behold, there talked with him two men, which were Moses and Elijah: Who appeared in glory..."!!!

In the Old Testament days, the shekinah glory of God was in the tabernacle because that was His dwelling place with man. Remember in Acts Chapter 2, cloven tongues like as of fire appeared and sat on each of them? Well it didn't just sit on top of their heads! It went down into their spirit and THEY became the new dwelling place of God!!!

You see, in the New Testament, we are the temple or tabernacle of God!!! Immanuel, GOD WITH US!!! The very shekinah glory is in you! The glory is no longer in just one tabernacle. It split on the day of Pentecost and resides in any temple that will accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior!

You are the temple where Gods presence is! You are the tabernacle of His glory, and greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world!

Jesus said "I am the way, I am the door, no man cometh unto the Father but by me". He is not speaking about simply talking to God. He is talking about being in the Fathers' presence!

"And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the spirit is life because of righteousness" Romans 8:10, and it is His righteousness, not ours.

Jesus told the disciples to "tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high" Luke 24:49. 'Endued' means to be 'clothed' or to be 'fully dressed'. The power of God is covering your spirit man, clothing you, clothing you with His glory!!

Habakkuk 3:4 says that His brightness was as the light, and that He has lightning-like flashes of splendor coming out of His hand and therein is the hiding of His power. His power is in His glory!

Jesus was raised from the dead by the Spirit of God (Romans 8:10-11). Jesus was raised from the dead by the glory of God (Romans 6:4). The Spirit of God and the glory of God are synonymous terms!! The Spirit of God IS the power of God and the power of God is hid inside the glory of God. The brightness surrounds His power!!!

Jesus raised Lazarus by the glory of God. When He was talking to Martha He said, "didn't I tell you that if you would believe, you would see the glory of God"? (John 11:40). The glory of God raised him up!

II Thessalonians 2:1-3 says "Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, or by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed". Continuing on in verse 7, "For the mystery of iniquity doeth already work: only he who now leteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. AND THEN shall that wicked be revealed...".

The word that was translated 'falling away', also means 'A GREAT DEPARTURE'! The word that was translated 'let' in this verse, actually means 'to hinder'. Only he who now hinders will hinder until he be taken out of the way. The One that is hindering the work of Satan now is the Holy Spirit. When the Holy Spirit is taken out of the earth, then the Antichrist will be revealed.

The Thessalonians were worried because someone had forged Paul's signature on a letter and said that Jesus had already came back and had taken His saints to heaven with Him, and that they had been 'left behind' to suffer the wrath of the Antichrist.

1 Thessalonians 5:2-5 says "For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness".

The power of a nuclear explosion is light. Light can be condensed into a beam called laser and can cut through steel. God is light and in Him is no darkness at all!!! He is the Father of lights (James 1:17). We are the children of light (Ephesians 5:8 & 1 Thessalonians 5:5).

Light travels at a speed of 186,000 miles a second. THAT'S 7 TIMES AROUND THE WORLD IN THE TICK OF A CLOCK!!!

As something approaches the speed of light, the molecular structure begins to change. When it reaches the speed of light IT BECOMES LIGHT!!! We are the children of light!!!

You don't have to drink the Kool-Aide!!! There's not a space ship hiding behind an asteroid!!! When the Holy Spirit that dwells on the inside of us is taken out of the earth so the Antichrist can be revealed, HE'S TAKING US WITH HIM!!! We will meet Jesus in the air, and so shall we ever be with the Lord!!!

186,000 miles a second. In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, the trumpet shall sound and WE SHALL ALL BE CHANGED!!!

Glory is not simply your destination! Glory is your inheritance!!! We're joint heirs with Jesus!!!

In Revelation 21, an angel said to John, "Come hither, I will show thee the bride, the Lambs wife. And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me that great city...,Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal".

"And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass, And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished [decorated] with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald; The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth,a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst. And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass. And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it. And the city had no need of the sun, neither the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof" (Revelation 21:18-23).

Can you imagine (no you can't!) how beautiful it must be with the brightness of His glory shining through all those beautiful gemstones, reflecting and refracting like a prism glimmering off the streets of pure gold? Oh what a day that will be!!!!

Well, on your day of Pentecost, when you got born again, the fire of God started burning in you. And you know what happens when they launch a space shuttle. They have a count down. 10, 9, 8, and when they get to 1, they say 'we have ignition'! Well, WE HAVE IGNITION, AND ALL WE'RE WAITING ON NOW IS LIFT-OFF!!!

II Corinthians 4:7-11 says "But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair: Persecuted, but not forsaken: cast down, but not destroyed: Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. For we which live are always delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh".

That's how we show that Jesus is alive!!! By the glory of God that is in us!! Jesus restored us into the presence of God and He has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places!

The glory is why you can be troubled and not distressed. The glory is why you can be perplexed but not in despair. The glory is why you can be persecuted but not forsaken or cast down but not destroyed!!!

Do you remember the miracle at Cana where Jesus turned the water into wine? It says that this beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee and manifested forth his glory (John 2:11). Jesus didn't do anything to the water. He didn't say anything to the water. He just told them to fill the water-pots with water and after they had done so, He said draw out now and take to the governor of the feast! It was the manifested glory of Jesus that turned the water into wine!

Have you ever noticed that when a woman is pregnant, she has a glow on her face? It's because she has new life in her! Well, when Jesus is in your heart, you have new life in you, and that will bring a glow to your face!!!

Ala is dead. Buddha is dead. Mohamed is dead. Krishna is dead.

JESUS IS ALIVE!!!
