Hubpage community, If you notice there are two hub scores, one for the article and one for your quality of writing that is placed beside your avitar (the picture you choose to represent as yourself located to the upper right corner of the hubpage). That Hubscore will waiver between two or four points depending on your quality of writing and your relevance of writing to your intended audience. The more quality content you add, both scores will increase.

You should write in accordance with the guidelines of the help modules provided by Hubpages. Read all the help modules and hubbers'comments that will help you to write quality articles. Visit the forum often to interact with the hubbers who in real time, have excellent suggestions on improving your written work on Hubpages.

If you write an article that only get a few readers, the avitar score may drop one to four points. You should not just to be adding content for the sake of trying to increase both scores. The written articles must have quality. You should write following the Hubpage guidelines of what constitutes a good hub because you do not want your score to decrease.

The score beside the article is important but not as important as the one that the other hubbers can see readily. The other hubbers see the numbered score beside your avitar. The score beside your avitar indicates your quality of writing. The longer you stay with Hubpages producing quality articles, your writer's score will increase.

Most Hubpage readers do not look at the score of the article although the score is there for them see. Hubpage readers usually look for an interesting topic and a topic of relevance.

The Hubpage staff did not see the importance of categorizing the articles by scores. This indicates that though the article score is important, it is not that important to make a categorization of hubscore articles by scores.

There is not a listing of all articles that has a score of 100 for example. There is; however, Hubpage authors who have scored near 100 as writers and is separated with the distinction of having Featured Articles.

There is categories of topics in a cloud-like presentation for hubbers to click on their topic of interest. Also at the top of the HubPage you see there are listings for Topics, Q&A, Hubs, Hubbers and Hubtivity; there is no topic indicating the scores of the hub articles that are listed. The hub score of the articles do not carry as much weight as the overall quality of the writer's overall score placed beside the avitar.

You will find also that the longer you stay with Hubpages and consistently write good quality and relevant hubs, that your writer'hub score will improve and increase. The score besides the article are less important because readers are reading the article for content and not because of the article score.

Google indicators are mostly counting how many Google Adsense key words that you type. The readers nor Google Adsense is concerned with the hub score of the article. That is why it is very important to write a lengthy article with relevant keywords. Although your goal is to write a quality, relevant article; Google's goals is to search the article for keywords that will cause a reader to click on an ad for monetization.

Google has to make money to remain the number one search engine on the internet. Google does this by using Google technology to search for keywords that people are using to search for information. Once the information is found and an ad is placed where the content is read, the reader may click on the ad. Once the Google reader clicks on the ad, Google will reward you, the writer of the article or hub, in Google earnings.

If you choose to disseminate your hubpage articles to social media like Twitter or FaceBook, the hub score will not follow or the writer's hub score. Readers outside of the Hubpage community do not need to know the score of the article or of the writer. These readers outside of the hubpages community is interested in reading an exciting and interesting article with relevance to them.

It is reasonable to write that the topic is of much importance when writing an article rather than concentrating on what score Google will award you. When you write, do not think of what the article will be scored, concentrate the content of your writing making sure your topic will intrigue the reader to open and read. When the reader open and read the hub, he or she should be introduced to interesting and relevant content.

As the hubpage writer, your concern is to attract readers with the production of quality articles. Hubpages have over 500,000 members and you can very well get a good readership from the community. Some hubpage readers look at your writer's score on the avitar to see if your article is worth their time reading and placing a comment. Since the information is available to them, some Hubpage readers do in fact use their own analytics to see if it is worth their time to read and visit your other hub articles.

If you noticed, the Hubpage Staff features writers with scores in the upper nineties range. I have been a featured writer and recorded the dates in my Hubpage profile as milestones. The Hubpage readers after seeing your writer's score placed near your avitar will then look at your hubs by topic and category instead of by hubpage article score. That is why it is more important that you concentrate on interesting, exciting, relevant and provocative topics that will cause the Hubpage readers to want to read your articles.

Concentrate on writing lengthy, quality and relevant artices consistency and with frequency. I will throw in this cheat sheet and say that in addition to writing relevant content, Hubpage staffers suggest that you include at least three photos and up to 5 videos of relevance to your article with a 1,500 word count.

As you are writing on the internet, be specific in your topic. Your writer's score beside the avitar will increase with a good specific topic coupled with relevant content. A hub score in the upper nineties makes the hubbers stop and to take notice that your hubpage article is worth their time reading and responding.

Read the hubpage help guidelines and follow through with what you read to produce good quality articles. Your hub score for articles and the all important score as a writer placed beside your avitar on Hubpages Home Page will definitely improve. Get on a routine schedule with the number of good relevant articles you plan to write on a day to day basis. Both your hub score and writer score will rise to the nineties and even to 100 if you use this information to improve on your writing content for quality and relevance.

Good comments - It is curious to watch your scores. I've been as high as 98 and as low as 91 in the last few months. Though it is sad to see many who are so obsessed that they only write to try to increase their score. I look at it as a game with Hubpages. :)

GRAF, thank you for your comments.  I think that it is great that you do not treat the hubscores seriously. I have noticed that if I miss writing my hubpages daily, the writer's score dips as to say why haven't you been to work lately.

This Hub seems to be about two separate topics - gaining a good HubScore, and making money with Hubs.  It might be better split into two, as they really have very little connection.

Your HubScore reflect many things, including things like participation in forums.  Because of all these other factors, it's not a measure of your Hub's actual earnings or its earnings potential.  Like most Hubbers, my highest scoring Hubs are not my highest earners.

The only real benefit of a high score is a warm, fuzzy feeling, and the chance of being "featured" on the front page of HubPages. However, few people except other Hubbers arrive at HP via the front page, so that doesn't help your earnings.  A high score will get you the respect of other Hubbers, but they rarely click on ads, so they are not going to contribute to your earnings either. I hope that makes things clearer.

By the way avatar is spelt avatar.

Marisa, thank you for your comment. I googled avitar and decided to keep the spelling as the word did appear in the search. The hubScore and earnings are important because I have noticed that the more quality content that is added increases the Hubscore of the avitar. As I wrote in the article, "Your Hubscore and How to Make More Money, you should not concentrate on the Hubscore but on your quality of writing. I am sure that some hubbers are writing for more than just a "warm, fuzzy feeling." If hubbers write consistenly and participate in the hubpage forums as was suggested in the article and you, their earnings will increase. I see no need to separate the article into two sections as the article addresses both the hubscore and making money on Google Adsense. Regardless of what the hubscore is derivative, a hubber will not be motivated to write if the score on the avitar consistently drops. Writing good relevant articles keeps the score in a satisfactory range. Earnings are accrued by writing everyday quality and relevant articles with the drive and knowledge that the score will not decrease as long as you continue writing.
