Welcome to the first Annual Hubpages Awards.

2008 Has been a great year for Hubpages the site has grown from strength to strength with many new authors joining every day, more high quality hubs being published by authors, more chances to make an extra income for the authors with the new addition of Kontera ads, and more features being added to Hubpages on a regular basis, and the amount of visitors increases every day.

From Humble beginnings Hubpages has become on of the top 250 websites in the USA, and at the rate hubpages is growing they could well be in the top hundred in the new year.

Hubpages is a great community of writers and the Hubpages team make the experience of the site an extra special one, always on hand to offer advice,tips and help everyone out as best as they can and with the help of their Sister company Yieldbuild hubbers are earning more money from the advertising on their pages.

The Hubpages Award Nominations

The Hubpages authors are partly responsible for the overall success of hubpages and although we do get paid for our efforts, I thought that some special recognition for the authors who add to the success of Hubpages therefore I introduce to you The First Annual Hubbie Awards. I am Currently in negotiations with members of the hubpages team to provide a small prize for the winners, even if it is just a certificate of achievement.

There are 8 categories in the Hubbie Awards and Nominations will close at 12 Midnight (British) on the 30th of November 2008, After that date the Five finalists in each category will be published and you can vote for your favorite in each category, the closing date for the voting stage is the 15th of December 2008 at 12 midnight(British) and the winners will be announced the next day.

( A slight change of plan, nominations will focus on Two categories every week, and the nominated hubs or hubbers will go forward to the final week when you will be able to vote for your favorites to win.....jimmy)

Below each category you will find a comments box enter your nomination into the comments box and your nomination will be registered, you may nominate up to 3 hubs or people in each category including a nomination for yourself or one of your own hubs if you so desire.

To keep the nominations private and to add to the surprize for the finalists, the comments will not be shown until after the nominations close.
