The Great Lie

Why are we so serious about what people think about us? Some people seem to have it all money, happiness, a family that loves and respects them. Do you know anyone like this? I used to see people like this when I was younger. I was taught that Americans really were just people who believed in this country it values and dreams.

They told me to be patriotic and serve my country. I did just that. They didn't tell me that killing innocent people for democratic ideals was part of the deal. They didn't tell me that the US ARMY was a human experiment as they shot us full of non tested drugs and vaccines. They said that they support our soldiers. We know this isnt true.

The hospital I trained in was shut down for rat infestation. The most advanced society in the world but we dont take care of our troops. What the hell! Look around billions of dollars a day are spent on this countries war efforts. But millions of Americans go hungry every night. The highest murder rate per capita in the world. More people are murdered on the streets and by domestic violence than any other country in the world.

Over 200,000 Americans are missing every year. 80,000 of which are never recovered never. The highest per capita rate of non violent offenders locked up in prison in the world. Hundreds of thousands of people are being murdered by modern medicine and the drug companies every year.

My friend says America hasn't changed, we are just more aware of how corrupt our society really is.

So it really was an illusion? America Home and of the Free and the Brave.

This being a pessimistic view of this society for sure. I invite you to share your positive experiences that you have had living in the USA. Please tell us your stories !

It's good to see one more person on the way of loosing illusions... Welcome to the real world, Coldbreeze! :)

Despite of what they tell you in school, human life does not cost much in our world. Unless this is a life of your friend/relative or your own life... Those lives have a value for you... Politicians are human, too, and the same applies to them... In other words, your and my lives are not worthy of any consideration in the eyes of US president.

And this is normal, this is how the world works. We would have been much happier if everybody understood and accepted this, like we accept other laws of nature. And acted accordingly.

Let me give you an analogy. If you drop something, it falls down. It does not go up. This is another law of nature. But imagine you've been tought in school that "good" things go up, not down ;) Think about your frustration any time something you think is "good" falls down... Does it remind you of the mood you wrote this hub in?

Dude, this is the greatest article I have read in a while. I may preach it and read about it, but you have lived it. That's awesome. I admire you, man. Keep fighting the good fight. Awesome!
