I am not a British citizen but Princess Diana will be remembered within my own family in Canada. She truly deserves the lasting gift of being bestowed with the royal Crown as the Worlds Princess.

The world was allowed to observe her courtship, social faux pas, and her marriage to a Prince. She conducted herself with poise, grace and elegance irregardless and could still smile shyly at us.

It is not her title, rank or work that remains transfixed in my memory but that of her sensitive humanity towards the causes she supported and the ability to be involved with the people affected despite the existing problems she was experiencing within her marriage.

Lady Diana showed the world her kindness, caring and benevolence towards those in need. She showed a higher state of being. She genuinely cared about the welfare of others and not just herself plus maintained a respected dignity of the monarchy. She had created and left a permanent positive image in the minds of all who love her and continue to love her.

The sombre announcement of her death on the news for me was a shock and I can still remember denying that no such thing could happen to such a beautiful member of the royal family. I still cry on thoughts of that fateful day and the loss to her sons and the world of such a beautiful human being.

The documentaries and tabloids publicizing her marriage problems and personal problems was disappointing. What person would not hurt when they realize their love for that one, is at an end? Displays of such disrespect to Lady Diana speaks volumes in itself and I felt such sadness for her sons that it had been allowed.

In my mind, she will be eternally a Princess. I do not think anybody will be able to compare to the grace, beauty and kindness she bestowed not just to the monarchy but to the World.
