Lara Croft's personality is rooted from her unusual life experience. At the age of 9, she lost her mom in a plane crash in Himalayas. Lara then was taken care of by her father, an archaeologist. She had opportunities to go on archaeological expeditions with her father. When she reached 18 years old, her father died under unknown circumstances. Lara is depicted as a confident and independent woman. She has a nickname " female Indiana Jones. ". Lara is recognized by Guiness World Record as the "most successful human video game heroine."  Lara has also been featured in movies of the same name.
