Welcome to The Lord of the Rings by JRR Tolkien Hub
Hi and Welcome to my Lord of the Rings by JRR Tolkien hub
Since the start of the Lord of the Rings movies I have been hooked on Tolkien. I know that many people debate whether the books or movie are better, whether the movie should ever have been made, etc. but for me both are excellent and it was the movie that led me to the books so I think that both have a place.
If you have never read the Lord of the Rings books or watched the movies then I strongly encourage you to do both. I would suggest, if possible, starting with the movies and then reading the books. It is our natural inclination to get disappointed when movies leave out vast amounts of detail (as was necessary with a trilogy like this) but do it the other way round and you will see how brilliant both are.
In this hub we will be looking at both the books and the movies and we trust that you enjoy it. You can also find more information on my Squidoo lenses related to Tolkien:

Hey!!
This is Clarion. Even, I think the same. Or maybe our views coincide. Lord of the rings is too good. But since I have seen the movie first and then the books, I don't find the books appealing. Too many songs and poems. But the compiling is superb. It jst casts a virtula video in the mind. Thanks to JRR Tolkien and Peter Jackson for bringing this marvel out.
See ya.
