The Many Faces of Angels

Angels often appear in our lives at the precise moment they are most needed. These miraculously appearing entities are not always human beings. In my own life, I have received guidance and assistance from doves, dogs, and cats. A dog once advised me as to the dark spirit of a man who came to cause harm. A playful dove came to touch me with "the hand of God."

These statements may seem out of left field, but I know in my heart, these statements are truth. They are my truth. YOU know your truth by the grand BS detector in your gut and heart. This same detector reacts within me, and is how I recognize my own bull, and my truth as well.

For generations, psychics and astrologers have believed that a cat, long passed over, will return to guide us to the realm of immortality. This, I suppose, means that all of us should have a cat companion at some point in our worldly journey. The cat will ensure we cross over with the ease of having a trusted friend to guide the way. I've had many cats, though not for many years. I hope one or more of my feline friends will remember to meet me at the gate so that my transition will be without tangles.

Months after losing my son to suicide, I had a funny little episode with a dove at my balcony. First perched, then performing summersaults in mid-air as I watched and giggled, the dove soon flew toward me as if to get my attention. How could I not give the little circus bird my full attention? He was full of life, and dancing a beautifully choreographed event, seemingly, just for me. After having watched the dance for several minutes, I needed to get to an appointment. As I walked to my car, the bird flew at me, darting around and out, and back in again. I laughed out loud at the funny antics, and went on to my appointment.

Once I arrived at my destination, I was seated in a room with a woman from the Pacific Islands. Although we had not yet spoken, after about thirty minutes she turned to me and said, "If a dove comes to you and touches you, you have been touched by the hand of God. You must have been in trouble. Now, nothing can harm you. You have been blessed by the hand of God."

Imagine my amazement and my dropped jaw as the woman spoke her truth. I think her truth was also my truth. I am well protected, and I am blessed by the words of a stranger, and touched by the dove and the hand of God.
