Craig Ferguson was born in Scotland and recently became a very proud American citizen.  Not only is he a successful late night talk show host but, he is also a stand-up comedian, writer, director and actor.     

Most of us probably remember Craig from "The Drew Carey Show" he played the part of Drew Carey's boss Nigel Wick. He was somewhat funny in a weird kinda way.  I recently rediscovered Craig on "The Late, Late Show" and I had NO idea that late night could be sooooo funny!!   

The first night I watched the show his facial expressions alone made me laugh until I cried.  I have since than discovered that Craig has hundreds of facial expressions and every one of them are funny. When he breaks out the puppets and does a little skit with whatever off the wall accent he uses I almost pee my britches. His fly by the seat of his pants antics keep me watching and wanting more....Awwww....is it the week end already? 

I love to laugh but find very few genuinely funny and very few can make me REALLY laugh. I mean the laugh till your head hurts kinda laugh. Craig Ferguson does.   His impression of Larry King will have you rolling  in the floor.  The night that Kiss played on The David Letterman Show ....Craig did an impression of an Old Gene Simmons singing " I wanna Rock and Roll All Night and Take Naps Everyday" (while holding onto  an invisible walker) that left me in stitches I tell you..Stitches!!

My favorite guest appearance was the "MythBusters"  Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman.  Adam gave Craig a gift....it was a sealed container that had Adam's fart in it and when he handed to Craig the look on Craig's face was ....Priceless!  The guests on the show are always made to feel at ease and the laughter is genuine. You never know what the topic of discussion will be.

Recently Craig was in the spotlight when the lighting went out on the set and he continued the show using a flashlight....Hilarious!!  He is always making light of the fact that the show is produced on a low  budget, the ceiling leaks, he has no band and the picture behind his desk isn't of Los Angeles. But, there is always time to read E-mail...LOL.

It is my personal opinion that Craig Ferguson is THE funniest man on late night television. I use to think that Robin Williams was the funniest man alive....Boy!  Was I wrong. I am not a celebrity kind of person, but Craig Ferguson has definitely made a fan out of me.  If you like to laugh than you owe it to your self to watch the show and experience the magic of Craig Ferguson ....you will not be disappointed.  Laughter truly is...the best medicine.          You can keep CNN....I'll take Craig Ferguson.
