The Many Reasons Why you should Vacation at Tennessee
51
The Great Smoky Mountains
I really enjoy looking at God's Beauty in nature, so when I vacationed this year at the Smoky Mountains National Park I got an opportunity to see God's wonders close up.
I would suggest that if you are planning to take a vacation this year, that you should visit the Smoky Mountains because the mountains is a great place to clear your head and leave behind all of your business and cares. When you are driving up the mountain and staring at its magnificence, you are able to mediate and see that your problems are small compared to the height of the mountain.
The national park has several restaurants and shopping stores so that you can eat and buy novelties.
The Beck Culture Exchange Center
While you are in Tennessee you should make it a point to stop by The Beck Cultural Center located in Knoxville,Tennessee. The Beck Center was founded in order to preserve African American Culture.
The great thing about visiting the the Beck center is its rare collection of photos of monumental events in African American history. You can also find an extensive African American library, and a gift shop with autographed African American paraphernalia .

The Wilderness at the Smokies Resort and Waterpark
A really nice place to stay while vacationing in Tennessee is The Wilderness at the Smokies in Sevierville, Tennessee. The Wilderness is a resort hotel with rooms that gives you all of the comforts of home. In the spacious rooms you will find flat screen televisions, a kitchenette, patio with a great view and a restaurant on site.
Although I stayed during the summer months, The Wilderness at the Smokies is a great place to stay year round because of it's indoor and outdoor waterpark.

Haley Heritage Square
I had a great opportunity while vacationing in Tennessee to visit Haley Heritage Square in Knoxville, Tennessee. What makes Haley Heritage Square a must see is that it has a 13 foot bronze statue that is in honor of Alex Haley, the author of Roots.
The statue was designed by Tina Allen who is an international acclaimed sculptor. I am told that this statue of Alex Haley is the tallest statue in honor of Alex Haley and of an African American man.
After you visit the statue of Alex Haley, you can let the kids play at the playground and have a picnic at the park.
