What are Omega 3 Fatty Acids?

The Omega 3s are one kind of fat you can be consumed without hesitance and with our clear conscience. This is simple because our bodies need these fatty acids to regulate a number of vital processes and the whole body systems.



Why should we take Omega3 Fatty Acids?

Many experts believe that our usual and typical diet is low in omega 3 fatty acids. For much better health, we need to consume more of them frequently, if not regularly.

There’s considerable evidence pointing to the heart-healthy nature of omega 3 fatty acids. Researches suggest and proved that increasing your consumption of omega 3s can reduce blood triglyceride levels by about half as well as reduce total blood cholesterol. Moreso, omega 3s are helping the thin blood, so that the heart doesn’t have to work as hard to push it through blood vessels. In the process, they can prevent blood clots. There are also many studies conducted and found that taking omega 3 supplements are great help in reducing blood pressure in people with mild hypertension.

Omega 3 fatty acids have also anti-inflammatory effects. A number of researchers have found that people with rheumatoid arthritis have low levels of omega 3s. Taking omega 3s supplements are helping to alleviate symptoms and allowing the people to cut their dose of NSAIDs. The same anti-inflammatory effect on the digestive tract has been credited with reducing symptoms and flare-ups to Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.

In the more recent studies, some a number of scientists have observed lower levels of omega 3s in people with major depression.  It was also noted down that supplements can reduce the severity of schizophrenia.


In what foods can we find the Omega3 Fatty Acids?

The good sources of Omega 3 Fatty Acids in oily fishes, such as salmon, trout, sardines, mackerel and herring.

Not only that, we can also find them in flaxseeds oil, canola oil, walnuts and soybeans.

We can enjoy all these foods because the above are not only delicious and very nutritional which our body systems need.
