Lots of speculation is going around on the new iPhone 4g! Verizon Wireless is currently testing a CDMA version of the iPhone 4G. The new iPhone 4g is going to be loaded with awesome new features like video chat, multi-tasking and extreme downloading. (List of features below). Just when you think there is nothing else to come up with, more and more and more technology comes out. And it is on the rise, and not just at Apple, Inc!
Woo hoo! This iPhone 4g could also have dual core processors and higher and powerful graphic chips that can deliver higher video resolutions and better still images when taking pictures.
There are a few networks working on building a 4G network. Sprint has one already... AT&T and Verizon Wireless are in the beginning stages. There are talks of Verizon Wireless getting iPhone sometime in 2010 since the exclusive contract with AT&T expires, but it could be renewed until 2012.
Rather or not it will be 4G will be up to them!... can they build in time? Regardless, there is much anticipation on how many people will leave AT&T for Verizon Wireless because of AT&T's lagging on MMS (pictures inside texts, or Multi Media Messaging) and app restrictions like Slingplayer and Google Voice.
AT&T's restrictions have caused the percentage of people that are JailBreaking their iPhones is on the rise since Jail Breaking usually comes with Cydia which is the app store for jail broken phones. Most of the applications, ringtones, and even iphone themes!...are free with Cydia. Winterboard is part of the download, and it very easily add's the changes to your phone so you dont have to figure how to do it on your own...it is VERY automated.
The Palm Pre on Sprint (Sprint now offering a 4G network) has made an attempt at being competitive with iPhone and Blackberry...but it's not looking good.
iPhone 4G looks promising in terms of being sleek, packed with new hardware and multi-tasking software. Very exciting.

i agree no removible battery. and please dont put the i-phone on anything but att i cant switch. an idea for the makers of the i-phone: change the home button look, like make it another shape or something like that.ps. get it out soon like before christmas of 09.

Once iPhone has an OLED screen, video chat, Live TV stream AND most importantly...a reworked bodyframe (because I personally think these phones are ugly)...I will most definitely buy this phone!! (Even if it still is on AT&T)
I am really hoping to get an iphone this yr when my contracts up nd i dont want to switch to at&t bc all my friends have verizon,like me ! The only person that has at&t hates it nd wants to switch! I hope they improve the camera and I hope AT&T doesn't try to charge more.
I love the iphone for many of its features. If it had a camera flash built in, the pics would turn out much more clear. I use verizon to talk on, but iphone for everything else, just cause AT&T's network is horrible for service. Also, if the "volume" feature could be a little more loud, that would also help a ton.
I have the 3GS and NOW I want the 4G. I dont really have too many problems with dropped calls, and the iphone is way superior in its well designed platform... I just like the cool features listed on this site!!!!
i have been a iphone owner and lover of the product since the beginning although att needs to pull there head out of there ass and get with the times as far as picture text i will always have an iphone just hope the new design comes out this year before x-mas

I have the option to upgrade to iphone 3gs but I won't do it because 3GS is just so stupid... offers noting exciting. I'm waiting on another iphone with more revolutionized features, including a webcam on the front. I'm expecting this iphone before new years.

AT&T sucks. Definitely go with Verizon or T-Mobile, preferably both. It won't even matter if they keep AT&T, because we all know that nobody likes AT&T... right?

I got sprint and it would be cool for Iphone to come to sprint! I would probly switch to verizon for the iphone though because of it having probly the best service and quality (besides sprint) Not people know but sprint offers a plan for $99.99. Unlimited text, picture, memory, calls, and more!
Hmmmm I don't think the iPhone is going to verizon until 2013 when both ATT and Verizon have a LTE network.

I have been an AT&T coustumer an iPhone owner since last December I swiched to AT&T from T-Mobile just because I wanted the iPhone! I think it would be great if the phone was available on all networks. It would be more profitable for apple... And that way ppl could choose.. T-Mobile has amazing coustumer service and a data plan including unlimited texts for $19.00 but their service is shotty... Verizon has great service but they tend to get snooty bc thay know thay have the most coverage that can afoard to be rude and Jack prices up.... AT&T just plain sux... Thair 3G network is non existant...and thair prices are way too high... Sprint I don't know that much about... Haven't bin with them since they merged with NexTell
First of all, Att is alot better then Verizon. Att customer service always takes care of there customers. Verizon customer service are pieces of shit. Also if the Iphone were to come to Verizon. Your phone bills would go up in price drasticly. Verizon is a lot more expensive. Also, for verizon customers, every time you change your contract, like add more texts or decrease your minute plan, verizon starts over your contract from the you make your modification. With Att you can change your contract everyday and it will no start you over. Being with Verizon, feels like your locked in and you are controlled from every angle. Verizon gets you by your balls and don't let go.
Please no removable battery and I think others phone company should carry the Iphone and have better rates AT&T have rob us for years. Looking forward to the new iphone
I saw a picture on google, of an iphone with a slide out keyboard. That would be PERFECT. Because girls have long nails, and it's hard to text fast with long nails. I'm getting this phone, the day it comes out, but if it had a keyboard, then I'd end up marrying the phone. HAHAHA.
Stay with AT&T. We love our iPhone and can't wait for the 4g. Gotta get it! No to verizon, tmobile, sprint. They suck!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The video chat part is interesting...I bet I could use it as a mirror to put makeup on! I like ATT's website and I like their options but not the coverage.

I think ever Cell provider wheather it be AT&T or Verizon they all have there weakness and strenghts. The all are in this competion to take our money so I don't think it will really matter who gets the IPhone.I have had the Iphone going 3years and I have 3 on my acct and AT&T have been great, every now and then I will drop a call but that's due to your location and or I should say Dead zones .Every Cell company have them . It doesn't matter who gets the Iphone , Once they see how much we want the Iphone they too will jack up prices because its all about the Cell company making more money and getting richer. Bottom Like I had all the Cell provider from At&T down to T-moble and they all are the same . I love At&T , their customer service is great and they are coming out with new calling features also . A list ,10 numbers you can call on any network.
no to the removable battery! it is true that the phone will break easily and not be that durable anymore because the battery will tend to bloat up after several charging, it isn't good! stick to the non-removable ones!
Please put the IPhone on TMobile. They just added an unlimited plan for $79.99 and I love TMobile and I want an IPhone I just don't want AT&T

Im with AT&T and have the iPhone 3G.. I have my ups and downs with AT&T just like everyone else and their cellphone company. They have been great to me at times and helped me with my billing when I was having a hard time getting it paid on time and were wonderful in that aspect. But every time I have something go wrong like a frozen screen etc. they were not able to help and were sometimes just plain rude. I am recently more unhappy with AT&T than happy with them.. But if the new iPhone comes out on AT&T ill deffinately stick with them. They are the only cell company ive ever used so I am a little skeptical about changing out of my comfort zone, although I would probably eventually end up following the iPhone to whatever carrier it was with.. Yay for iPhones.

Folks - As Americans we need to start buying American. VERIZON IS NOT AN AMERICAN OWNED COMPANY!! THEY ARE OWNED BY VODAPHONE. Buy Sprint .. Support AMERICA! The Chinese and the Koreans always buy their own makes ( How do you think Hyundai got so big) and so do the Europeans. Its time to invest our dollars into an American Company! I would say buy ATT but their network is in shambles!
I think we should support American products, especially with our ecomony how it is...but how can I when Verizon has the best coverage?! I want what I pay for...and if foreigners are providing it, then I will pay them. ATT needs to get on the ball and so does Sprint. THEN, I will go with them. I will still buy the iphone 4g and just unlock it and use it on another network.

Ive used AT&T for my hole life and have been very happy with it.I just hope the iphone '4g' isnt to pricy. i havnt had an iphone yet and ive been planning to buy one for the last few weeks but i wanna wait until the 3gs will be $100 witch will most likely be wen the iphone '4g' comes out. All Verizon plans ARE REDICULIUSLY EXPENSIVE...for a regular plan and DATA plan you pay usually OVER $120 while the ATT plan is around $94.......Verizon is OVERPRICED
Heres the killer - Sprint 4G plans are same price as their 3G plans. So why go with Verizon and ATT (no 4G) when a smart person would get the 3G /4G combo devices that Sprint offers .. for lower price than the so called 3G with ATT. And in terms of coverage - ATT sure does not have the coverage Verizon and Sprint do. And YES Verizon and Sprint have the SAME coverage areas. But the only difference is that Verizon is FOREIGN - sucking the lifeblood of Americans and taking their money back to another place. Do your research - also NO ONE CAN BEAT THE PLANS that Sprint has. NO ONE! Any mobile any time?? WOW!! Guys time to switch and give an AMERICAN COMPANY the momentum which it deserves. We cannot continue to send our hard earned money overseas! Remember no one cares about us .. overseas! I am 100% interested in supporting American Companies. BUT - I would not want an iPhone on sprint. Sprint has the WORST coverage I have ever experienced and the worst service too. Yes they already have a 4G network, but I dont want an iPhone on a network that can not support all the things I do on the iPhone ALL THE TIME... not just some times in some places.

I have to agree... Sprint has the best pricing and the service is pretty darn good. I have friend with Verizon and when we travel my phone works everywhere their does just as good. Don’t get why people think Verizon is so much better than Sprint. Paying higher price doesn’t make it better. The iphone functionality is tempting me to switch from Sprint thou. When you check it …everyone is making apps for the iphone . When will the Goggle Phone catch-up ?????

What you are saying is not true! This is the stuff that kills the American companies. LIES spread by foreign companies! Sprint's network is one of the best - if not the best. Look at the PC world unbiased opinion! The MOST reliable network. Dont be naive and write things that you have no proof of. Do the research. Verizon and Sprint are exactly the same. except Verizon is really expensive. Also in the past year Sprint's customer service has done a 180. Trust me - I call them. I love it when I am downloading at sizzling speeds and done on 4G- and others on ATT and VZ 3G are still downloading. I have full signal 8 feet below ground with Sprint.
The only Liar here is you. I am not a "liar from a foreign company"... I am an American consumer. I never dont know if Verizon is American or not.. all I am saying is SPRINT HAS THE WORST COVERAGE AND SERVICE I have ever experienced... and everyone I know and have asked or blogged with say the same thing. So far, I have no problems with ATT coverage but their network needs improvement and they need to expand coverage.
I think apple should stay with AT&T.. I have no problem with there service. it should be exclusive like it has been for the past 5yrs.. why should other people that don't have AT&T get it! I hate verizon I use to have before I went with AT&T and there service sucked!! Sprint is the worse.. I don't know why Verizon has to get iPhone. If you want a Palm Pre, you switch to Sprint. If you want a Sidekick, you switch to T-Mobile. If you want a Droid, you switch to Verizon. If you want iPhone, come to AT&T. Stop trippin! I have never had any problems with AT&T since I got the iPhone 3G when it released in 2008. I left Verizon for AT&T because I got tired of being charged for every little thing. AT&T has rollover so that was better for me. Verizon has horrible phones, too. Keep iPhone exclusive to AT&T!!!
Uh ya... all I know is I want video chat and I dont want to pay more to get it... I also want full reception where ever I go.. I dont care whos network as long as I get the coverage, no restrictions and pay 100 or less per month. I would never leave.

It's amazing that discussion of who is better or worse mobile operator. I think that discussion should be that the iphone or not unlocked and sold to anyone! Because the operator is providing service and not the manufacturer of the iPhone and we have to be free choice and not tied to this or that provider.

AT&T is expanding there 3G network to 3G HSDPA & will cover more of a wider area and expand there coverage to blanket more of the nation before launching there 4G network then we will see who has the best coverage. iPhone , AT&T is going to b the best all around network by the time you are ready for your 4G release YOU MUST STAY WITH AT&T

I have an iPhone 3G, but am ready for an upgrade in 2010. Features i want are:
Video iChatting
Text iChat
iWork Mobile
iLife Mobile
OLED screen
Multitasking(For example: video chatting with someone while seeing there location on GPS.)
Widgets on locked screen(weather, stocks, etc.)
New body construction.
Better overall performance.
Faster Processer
Better battery life.
More storage.
Things i dont want:
Removable battery-It would look bad, and less room for the battery.
Flash(camera)-If you want a camera with flash, buy a dedicated camera. Its a cell phone, not a camera.
I think that a removable battery would come in handy... let's say that you are on a 3 day camping trip and have no electricity and then your iphone runs out of battery... you would be thankful that you have it... it would be good if it would be able to do both... charge and have batteries...
Iphones are cool, but att sucks.

I'll take AT&T over Verizon any day, I was with Verizon for almost 10 years and they treated me very badly by overcharging and not crediting me for their errors. I enjoy AT&T rollover minutes, and the billing department is way nicer than Verizon. The service could be better but customer service is important too! Stay with AT&T iPhone. My Blackberry is good but my next phone is going to be the iPhone.

The removable battery is bad if u need a battery in can just get a rechargeable battery that is what i use.. It works great! i have never had any problems with my battery! we should to stick to how it is.. Verizon sucks alot!!!!!!! AT&T Rocks!!!

In fact, AT&T's signal is so much stronger that even after Hurricant Katrina, my AT&T phone was able to pick up signals from towers that were still standing outside of the devistated New Orleans area. All my friends with Verizon had NO SIGNAL AT ALL!

I THINK THE IPHONE SHOULD BE ON ALL NETWORKS SO EVERYONE CAN EXPERIENCE IT WITHOUT HAVING TO PAY MONEY TO CHANGE NETWORKS. If these specs are true? the iPone just keeps getting better! Well done apple. It would be great if they can keep the cost down ... Apple will then attract those late adopters & people will upgrade their handsets. Everyone who uses an iPhone loves it. WORLD domination........

I've been with AT&T for many year and it works perfect , depend of your area where you LIVE ,Verizon WILL NOT BE ChEAP$$ :-( ...WHY make an Apple product work with another company will NEVER WORK PERFECT. Can't MIX APPLES WITH CHERRIES.
