Home Based Business Ideas - What is the Best Business Opportunity?

In today's troubled economy, more people than ever are looking for home based business ideas. The problem is - how does one sift through all of the scams and other junk that is out there, and find the answer to the million dollar question: What is the best business opportunity?

Well, that's a complicated question that comes with a complicated answer. The first thing that someone should ask themselves when wanting to start a home based business is, "What do I like to do?" If there is a way to make money doing something that you like, or something that you do on a regular basis anyway - then why not make money while you are doing it? For example, if someone loves to write - they could look for opportunities to work as a ghostwriter. If you have an arts and crafts type of hobby - such as creating bracelets, holiday decorations, or other knick-knacks - then you could look to sell your creations on eBay. I think you get the idea.

Two more important questions a person needs to answer are: "How much money do I want to make?" and "How much time am I prepared to spend on my business?" If you are trying to create a substantial income that will be your primary source of funds, then selling bracelets on eBay might not be the answer. They would need to be some REALLY cool bracelets. Even if the demand was there, the amount of time you would have to spend to make enough bracelets to meet that demand might be too high.

So, what other options are out there? Some of today's most successful small business entrepreneurs have turned to the world of network marketing. Yes, network marketing! Donald Trump and Robert Kiyosake are both on record as stating that network marketing is the perfect business. Well, if that's the case - then why do so many people have a negative perception of network marketing? Well, that's simple. Everyone has an Aunt Sally or Uncle Bill that was burned by some get rich quick "pyramid scheme" and lost thousands of dollars. Unfortunately, experiences some have had with companies like those - have left an undeserved stigma attached to all of the legitimate network marketing companies that exist today.

Network marketing is capitalism in its purest form and it offers a benefit that no other home based business opportunity can. This incredible benefit is so powerful; it will actually allow you to dream again. What is this benefit? It is the amazing ability to do something once and get paid for it over and over again. Yes, I'm talking about RESIDUAL INCOME. Network marketing is one of the very few places that the average person can have access to this type of income.

Okay, so now we are back to one of our earlier questions. How do we know which company to join? How do we know: What Is the Best Business Opportunity? Here again, you need to look at what you enjoy doing or which Home Based Business Ideas coincide with your personality or lifestyle. For example, if you don't own a cell phone and are technologically impaired, you may not want to join a company that markets phone service and cell phones.

What about the magic juices and berry drinks out there that cure every ailment known to mankind? Well, there are some great people working with those companies making great money. You just need to be able to convince yourself and everyone you know that this magic elixir actually works. It may or may not be for you.

There are networking travel companies and even networking insurance and legal services companies, but these involve expensive certifications that you will cost you considerable money before you make a dime.

There are a ton of nutrition companies out there and many of them are good companies with good products. The only thing is, as I mentioned - there are a ton of them out there! What is going to separate one from the other? My guess is - probably not much.

So, where does that leave us? Well, I have a secret to share with you about a company that is turning the network marketing world on its head. I'm talking about revolutionary concepts that NO other company has ever implemented before. Here is a sample of what I'm talking about:

  • This company assigns actual paying customers (not leads) to qualified reps, from which commissions are earned.
  • This company will acquire new reps (not leads) via infomercial advertising and place them in the downline organizations of qualified reps.

If these "unheard of" benefits sound appealing to you, I have an offer you literally can't refuse. For the first 100 people that respond, I will grant access to a FREE e-course that will give you my blueprint to success with this cutting-edge company. You'd be crazy not to take advantage of the hundreds of hours that I have spent in becoming one of the top earners with this company. What Is the Best Business Opportunity?

MLM Success...What's the Secret?

In today's troubled economy, there are more and more people looking for ways to supplement their income - or even replace it altogether. The simplest and most affordable way to do this is through network marketing. Now, I said it was simple - but for many folks, it is far from easy. Why is it that some people can achieve such incredible success, while others flounder in their efforts? The truth is, the answer comes in many parts. This article will explore what I consider to be a few of the biggest factors that will ultimately determine the success or failure of a network marketer.

I will start by assuming that the person in question has a burning desire to be successful in whatever opportunity he or she has chosen. Without that, there is little hope of any business enjoying success, MLM or otherwise. Many people get involved with an MLM thinking they just won the lottery and all of their financial troubles are a thing of the past. This is hardly the case, as many soon realize and drift away in search of a free ride that will never come.

CHOOSE CAREFULLY

Many people become truly excited when they are approached with a network marketing opportunity. In many cases, a person is being introduced to network marketing for the first time - and they love the idea of owning their own business. Unfortunately, at that point, they don't know a good compensation plan from a bad one. They may not have thought out whether the product being marketed is one that has long term potential. They may not take the time to look into the background of the corporate team and see what type of funding the company has in place. I have heard horror stories of reps that have built large downlines only to be crushed when they found out that the company was going bankrupt.

Here is a short list of things you will want to check out before signing on the dotted line:

  1. Who is on the corporate team, and what is their track record?
  2. Is the company well funded?
  3. Is the company relatively young? (Yes, is good - if 1 and 2 have been answered to your satisfaction)
  4. Does the product have long term potential?
  5. Does the product and/or compensation plan provide a unique "twist" as to separate it from the competition?

I chose my company using these guidelines and I went from $5,000/month with the school district to $20,000+/month in less than two years. For more info on my business, click the link below:

TREAT YOUR BUSINESS......LIKE A BUSINESS!

I know that seems obvious, but many people don't take their networking business seriously enough. If you have hopes of your business making a significant addition to your income, and eventually surpassing what you are earning from your 9 to 5, then you need to do develop a plan. Your plan should include how much time you are going to devote to your business on a daily basis and what marketing strategies you will implement (which will be largely decided by what type of budget you will be working with). You will want to study your competition and see what is working for them, as well as what is not.

Ultimately, you will realize that networking (like any form of sales) is just a numbers game. You can come up with the details of what your "daily" plan will need to be in order to meet your goals. If your financial goal is to create an income of $5,000/month, then you should study your compensation plan and see what type of team sales volume and/or bonuses will be necessary in order to generate that type of income. Next, calculate approximately how many reps you will need in your downline to generate that much sales volume. Whether that number is 500 or 2000, start presenting your opportunity to as many people as time permits - and don't stop until you reach your goal. It is a good idea to have a number in mind with respect to how many people you will talk to about your business each day. If you can commit to talking to 10, 20, or even 30 people a day, then your business should grow nicely - as long as you have a decent conversion rate and you are helping your new reps to grow their businesses as well.

FORM A SUCCESS TEAM

If at all possible, form a team with members of your upline, downline, and if need be, your crossline. It is very important to surround yourself with positive people that share common goals. The world is full of negative people that will try to make you second guess yourself and your business. You need a strong support group that can give you a pep-talk when you need one and get you re-focused on your business. My friendship with Pete Pena has been a big key to my success.

DUPLICATE YOURSELF

Developing leaders within your downline is key to your long term success. Not doing so, will cause you to always feel as if your downline will not grow unless you are doing all of the work. The whole idea of network marketing is to make money from other people's efforts. If you haven't developed any leaders, your full-time effort has no end in sight. After all, the idea is to work hard for a period of time and then be able to collect residual commissions that you created for yourself from your earlier efforts.

Technology

The internet has added a whole new arena with which to market your opportunity. Staying ahead of the curve will give you the edge over any of your competition that fails to do so. There are many programs will show you how to capitalize on the internet to grow your business. To see which program I recommend, click the link below:

Hey Brian,

Very nice hub and information. It's very true that you need to treat your Network Marketing business like a business and be ready to mentor your team through the same process.

I like your analagy of studying your compensation plan to determine what size of an organization is needed to reach a certain goal, never looked at it that way before.

I appreciate your views, look forward to seeing more hubs in the future,

Mike Witt

Five Qualities To Look For in a Prospect

By Brian Murray

One of the most important things one needs to do when attempting to develop a successful network marketing business is to recruit "quality people" into their business. The first thing you might ask is, "What exactly do you mean by - quality people?" Well, that's not an easy question to answer, but here are some qualities that you should look for:

• Someone with a large sphere of influence - in other words, they are in a position of authority and are well respected by their peers.

• Someone who is results-oriented and driven to succeed.

• Someone that is not afraid to "hustle".

• Someone with an outgoing personality that people are attracted to.

• Someone who is financially stable - or extremely desperate to become so. You are really looking for those individuals who are natural leaders and will spearhead putting together weekly presentations and trainings.

You want someone that is willing to work as hard as YOU ARE! I have heard these types of people referred to as "pearls". This name obviously comes from the analogy of having to shuck many, many oysters before a pearl is found.

Now, does this mean that you should only try to recruit people that have one or more of the above qualities? Absolutely not! You should talk to EVERYBODY. You may have a friend with the personality of a wet dishrag. Talk to them! Why, you might ask? The answer is - they might know someone who possesses many of the qualities discussed above! They may know a person with an incredible amount of influence, who you would have otherwise, never been able to meet.

Recruiting, like any form of sales, is a numbers game. You may find a "pearl" right away, or you may have to shuck a hundred oysters before you find one. I can tell you from experience - however long it takes…..it's worth it!
