The Nokia 7900 Prism, short review

The review
Let me start by telling you, that I don't want a phone for all the fancy gadgets and features. I hardly ever use the camera, don't surf the web or read e-mail and don't use the applications installed.
The looks
Obviously this is the main reason why I wanted this model. I think it's stylish, it's different. In addition, it is slim and I like that. It easily slips into my pocket and feels comfortable when holding it in the hand. The keyboard is something you have to get used to and I still sometimes press the wrong key, but all in all it works well.
The display is nice when the light is right. However, when you are in bright sunlight it is extremely hard (if possible) to read the display.
Making and receiving phone calls
Once you've gotten used to the keyboard, which shouldn't take you too long, it is quite easy to call people and receive phone calls. The sound in this phone is good. It is loud and clear enough and most of the time you will find that the connection to the network is fine (depending on your provider, of course). You can use shortcut keys for the numbers you dial most often and I think you can also use speech recognition.
The camera
The camera works well, quality of the pictures taken is reasonable. Personally I think you should buy a camera if you want to make pictures, so I don't use the feature very often.
MP3 player
With 1 GB you can't store too many images, videos and sounds, of course. But since I don't take too many pictures and don't store videos it is sufficient for me. The sound quality is acceptable, although one should not expect hifi.
Interfaces
This is what I really like about Nokia. With the PC Suite you can synchronize your contacts and appointments with Outlook. Both via the USB-cable and Bluetooth and I use this regularly. I only have to register my appointments in either my phone or Outlook and every night I will synchronize the two.
Another convenient feature is sending sms messages. Using the PC Suite I can type my messages on my computer and then send them.
