Seeing the World for less

I don't know about you, but I love to travel, and I plan on travelling a lot more while I can see, walk and climb.

The world has some amazing places, peoples, cultures and customs. The flora, fauna, smells and sights, geopraphical structures, architecture and history makes it all so inviting. From Africa, the Carribbean, Europe and Australaisia is so inviting. They beckon us welcome as citizens of the world.

Even though there is this surreal invitation and welcome, there are things that we must prepare for as we embark on travel to various territories. For some, our high school geography classes did not educate us of their names locales or neighbours. Then, we must embark on self education using the Travel Channel, Libraries or our reliable educator the world wide web.

W can choose to visit countries, neighbourhoods and cultures at the click of a mouse. So we can also do our homeowrk before be embark on our nomadic excursions. Make sure that the territory is safe for your health and take precautions like vacinations if recommended. Know the available health care facilities and how to access these. Ask if the water is safe for drinking and what type of wildlife is commonwhat kind of communication systems are available, cell phones, internet etc. Make sure others know where you are off to and how to contact you in case of emergency.

Ensure that any chronic health problems are provided for. Old sprains and other injuries, food allergies and conditions like diabetes and asthma. Travel with your supplies and a bit extra just incase the environment challenges you before you are settled.

The World is awaiting You

A VACATION IS A BREAK! Take a Break!

I am amazed at the numbers of employers who do not provide paid vacation to their full time staff. This is attrocious! No wonder the stress levels is the way it is. This system basically says that "you work until you die".

The USA is called by the Center of Economic and Policy Research, The No Vacation Nation. That is sad! When there is so much to see and do in the USA but the natives have no time in which to do it. The survey showed that the USA was the only advanced economy in the world that did not guarantee its employees paid vacation. At the present moment, this is probably even worse with the delining economy.

In England, Australia and Europe, there is a minimum of two weeks paid vacation per year and in some jurisdictions as much as (7) seven weeks at the start of your employment.

It seem almost irrelevant to emphasise the importance of time off and relaxation to renew, regroup and refresh oneself especially since there is no daily seista.
