Theses days who hasn't heard at least a minimum of 20 songs from Lil' Wayne a.k.a Weezy F Baby,Young Carter,Doctor Carter,Birdman Junior,Birdman Jr,Young Stunna,Fireman,Young Mula,Fireman and many more nicknames.One of the hardest,no the hardest working rapper out there.It is said that he makes an average of 3 songs a day either freestyles or singles.Very versatile artist who hit almost every different styles in Hip Hop and work with almost all the biggest names in the rap game.Started at the age of 15 with his group the Hot Boyz which consists of him Juvenile,BG and Turk(all artist from New Orleans,Louisiana) and doesn't seem to ever stop recording.Music is his life and even has a tatoo on him that says I am music.After being in the game for 14 years you can't always expect him to have the same raw rhymes he used to have.Even dough he is very popular in the mainstream,in the underground he lost a lot of respect because he makes a lot of claims about being affiliated with bloods which isn't true,even people in his own hood say he ain't s***.Also for thoses who've been fans of Lil' Wayne back in the days they can clearly see that he has ghostwritters and doesn't come up anymore with his own stuff.He just doesn't have the same flow he had before which was way better.In 2007 that's where the big changes appeared.In that year it is said that he made 77 songs.That already for most artist is a lot of songs.The newer generation are thoses who are mostly attracted by the new Lil' Wayne since he is able to bring a lot of attention to the mainstream with his group Young Money which consist of Drake,Mac Maine,Jae Millz,Nicki Minaj, and others.But for people like me and many others who pay attention to lyrics what Lil' Wayne says theses days make absolutly no sense especially the hole gangster thing and him using auto-tune.He's been in the game since 14 and spends all his time in the studio,some things only dumb and ignorant people who listen to the wrong music would fall for that which seems to be the majority of people(blame the recession and Bush).People who never listened to old school(nowadays old school is considered the 90's and early 2000's) would have no idea that he is lying most of the time.It's been 8 years in the recession and people are used to hear garbage music.The real hip hop is underground and most people won't even botter to look.The reasons why? having decent lyrics isn't popular anymore before you could watch TV or listen to radio and have theses amazing songs where rappers didn't talk about money all the time and actually had real stories from the hood.Theses days anyone can fake it and get away with it if they have a bit of flow and a lot of money.The older you grow the more you realise things in life.I remember when the hole dirty south thing started I got caught into it because it had catchy hooks but I was to young to really understand.Everybody followed the trend so did I.Theses days I only listen to real hip hop and only a few mainstream artists who have real lyrical talent(Fabolous,Juelz Santana are good examples).The best I've heard of Lil Wayne recently would have to be the compilation album with Juelz Santana I Can't Feel My Face.It's not necessarly the best but it is very decent and Lil 'Wayne's methapors and punchlines make more sense.There is a sequal to it and it is called My Face Can't Be Felt but isn't as good as it's predecessor.Finally to conclude not to be to harsh but Lil' Wayne sucks nowadays.He is suppose to go to jail and appear in court in December but I doubt he will get in.He has so much money he can pay off almost anything.If he does maybe it will be better for him.No drugs,no ghostwritters only time to kill in jail.Maybe he'll write better stuff.Even dough he has a lot of unreleased tracks if he goes in he'll have at least a good 5 months covered maybe more who knows.
