The One I Loved Before

This is dedicated to a dear hubber Moonchild60

She was a darlin’ a brown-eyed beauty from my days of yore.

Like sweet clover in the field she nudely skipped with her soul.

Why I left her standing weeping I can really never discern—

Call it wanderlust or thunderdust, this one thing I know—

I miss the girl with sun-kissed hair

The one I had back when

The girl I left at the candy store

The one I loved before.

She danced over pudmuddles so gaily, pleaded for so much more.

Willingly, killingly gave all to me her psyche.

Whittle-dee-tittle, frog with a fiddle I played her as a fool—

None can compare, none do fare to be as bare as she—

I miss the girl with unbolt heart

The one I had back when

The girl I left from sandy shore

The one I loved before.

Clover Blossom with tiny wasps

Skinny-dipping in the rain drying naked on yonder shore.

Newborn lovers feet entangled kissing angel clouds on high.

Honeybees and Tulip trees witnessed our flowing love—

Girl with crying curls beheld our clash in dirty snow—

I miss the girl with dimpled chin

The one I had back when

The girl I left cause I was sore

The one I loved before.

Those days we had with happy feet lying upon that sandy shore,

Like wagging puppies and newborn calves life so carefree—

Odors of crimson crisp kingdom air a princess and a toad—

Humming bird kisses and honeysuckle wishes dancing with the Moon.

I miss the girl with atomic kisses

The one I had back when

The girl who gave me more

The one I loved before.

Hi pretty Diana, so glad to see you and I thank you.

Pretty, yes, memories are still vivid in my mind. Sometimes it just needs to be a poem so I do. Am I poet, maybe I am as I do seem to enjoy it so. Thanks darlin'

Hello wavegirl, so nice for you to visit me you big city gal. George was King and no one can ever replace him, drunk as he was. LOL I am glad I exposed you to him as I figured you younger one would not know him and dint know how you react. Yes, this is Jado my other love. hehe He sits on my left shoulder enjoying the pictures and George Jones, he likes pretty girls. Thanks you so much darlin' and you too.

Well queenbe it is a little different as sometimes I revert to this style I love, but it is not so easy you see and I must get in the proper mood for it to work. 'Twas fun to do. thanks hun

Well Wes I am glad you enjoyed it, lil different style but effective I think. Thanks now

Lmy, yes we older ones can relate so well to this can't we? Youth is for those things I think. You are most welcome and thank you darlin'

A big thanks to all of you for enjoying my poetry, Charlie

I don't know what to say. I am so touched. To have such a beautiful cornucopia of gorgeous words so beautifully tied together with a big bright bow and dedicated to ME. What an absolute honor. You made my day my dear, no my week!! What is even more amazing is you said she had a dimpled chin and I too have a slight dimple in my chin, only I don't think it is visible in this picture. This beauty will always be close to my heart. Thank you for such a wonderful and unexpected gift.

I never took you for stupid Tantrum. Well you grow some older and it may force you into writing of it.

Yes shamel, she is a doll, and she followed you right in.

Moonchild, I'm almost embarrassed now. Well, you deserve to attention and limelight. I thought to myself, I just know there is a dimple, because Sandy had one too. This beauty will remain for you alway as you can print it out if you want. You're most welcome but it is you I thank for the inspiration of it all. Peace and love always darlin'. Charlie xoxox
